AUT Tonga Language Week - Kat Malama Aho

Mālō e lelei! - it’s Uike Lea Faka-Tonga | Tonga Language Week in Aotearoa. The theme for this year is 'E tu'uloa 'a e Lea faka-Tongá 'o ka lea'aki 'i 'api, siasí (lotú), mo e nofo-'a-kāingá, which means the Tongan Language will be sustainable if used at home, church and in the wider community. AUT Alumnus Kat Malama Aho - Bachelor of Health Sciences (Nursing) - shares their experience as a nurse and how they have utilised the Tongan language in the workplace to help create a better understanding between patients and the services they are being provided.
