Oh man, I am working on replacing the metal cage and I have to take apart everything and it's tedious as well as nerve wracking. I am breaking sessions up into two days. Because my neck gets sore from looking down and trying to focus on tiny parts. The soldering was the worse part. I am at 60% done. I am to take delivery of my EVO II Pro next week, I must admit one thing I am not liking about this drone is the complexity of repair, I mean you had to tear the whole thing apart just to replace the leg, this spells extra downtime if you use it for business. We use drones for agricultural purposes and repair time, especially while out in the field is essential, as is any agricultural equipment that breaks down out in the field. Now, another option which I am an advocate for is to have a backup UAV at hand, but still, availability of parts, cost and complexity of repairs plays a big role, not sure if we are making right choice switching from DJI to Autel but we are willing to give it a go, these drones are expected to map hundreds of acres of fields daily and need to be efficient and reliable. We use much larger drones for field spraying, SUGU ECO1 drone which is capable of spraying 35 Acres per hour. Anyway, great video, thank you for taking time and sharing. CHEERS !!!

is it likely hot glue might become conductive as it ages over time.
@QCGUY2 жыл бұрын
Most hot glues and what I used are plastic resin which typically melts at temperatures ranging from 250 to 380 degrees Fahrenheit. It works as a electrical insulator and doesn’t create conducting paths or short circuits. I normally and currently use electronic silicone but the answer is no or not in all my years of electronics in the hobby.

I crashed my Evo 2 Pro 9/6/2021 (totally my fault), I replace the camera,/gimbal and a front landing gear. Today I noticed one of the rear arms looked like it had a scratch. It wasn't a scratch. It was cracked half way around but I could only see the scratch it in bright sunlight and could only see it was broken when it was upside down and pressure applied. It probably happened when I crashed, the arm and motor still had some mud on them from the gravity attack after I hit the light pole. So I was flying it for a year and a half with a bad wing. I grounded the quad and ordered a new arm. I may have to revise my inspection process after I visit my Ophthalmologist.

I would think Autel has special tools to take the drone apart and to put it back together. If they went through all this fiddling every time the made a drone it would take forever. Such as special wire holding tool, equal splaying tool, etc.
