Love the camera on the lite plus. It’s what makes this drone in my opinion. I’m enjoying getting to know mine so far. The OA issues are troubling. I will probably just turn off mine when I fly. The OA on DJI has me spoiled (when I use it)! I am with you on the transmission system being great on the lite plus. Great flight with what is probably Autel’s best consumer drone. Thanks for more great content Marcus!

There must be some dirt on the AO sensor that is causing it to behave that way. Clean the sensor lm the drone. 32:19

I'm not exactly sure what those are used for, but they look down into an underground irrigation system. This area was formerly farmland, and at one point that would have been an open canal.

I don't have those OA issues with my Lite. Either your OA needs recalibrating or they are faulty.

It really makes little difference Ross. If I run into this, I'll just shut it off. This drone is all about that great camera.

Hey if you even need to kill OA for a sec, just flip the Lite+ into Sport Mode. Quickest way I know of!

Yeah, you can tap it off on the screen too. Sport mode on the Lite+ is like normal mode on the DJI Mini 2. 😂

Marcus, it looks like you're flying around noon. I have 2 Autel drones and I notice when I fly around noon I usually get obstacle avoidance warnings especially when the sun is high in the sky. My theory is that the sun reflects off the avoidance cameras at just the perfect angle to cause a shadow effect and that triggers obstacle avoidance warnings. It really is a nuisance when performing a mapping mission, so I just turn it off. When was that drone purchased? My image looks so much more saturated than yours, so I have to turn the saturation way down in post to match the pics. I bought mine when it first came out.

great content as usual my question if you had a choice between Autel nano and Fimi mini what would you recommend love my Fimi but its no longer available unfortunately at Adorama at least now , I bought warranty so was giving voucher card to buy another one , love to get a dji mini 3 pro but want the pro and that is out of budget for now so like to get something similar. So far really happy with the way the warranty was applied . Thank you

The Nano+ is a much better product than the Fimi Mini, no comparison really. You might consider the standard DJI Mini 3.

autel drones have amazing cameras marcus and i am kicking my ass that i haven't purchased this one yet,i did however get the evo nano standard which is very good,as others said calibrate the OA.Only issue i ever had on my nano is i had to calibrate the gimbal once in over a year owning it.

I bet the Autel Controller SE "was" originally developed for the consumer devices including the Evo2Pro, Lite and Nano... but they must have decided to stop firmware development to make the final compatibility work out.. such a shame!

That is a known bug with Autel drones. If the camera picks up direct sunlight or reflection off of water, it thinks there's an obstacle. Just turn the drone away from the sun or reflection and you'll be good. Likewise turn the camera down until the warning goes away. I can't believe they haven't fixed this yet.

@IdahoQuadcopter I have the Nano + and get it constantly flying into the sun. Turn slightly away from the sun or lower the gimbal and the warning goes away. I had no idea this issue existed with their top of the line drones.

Man ole man. I have a love-hate relationship with you lmao. You because I found you when I was first flying the Ruko F11 GIM 1 and 2. I was trying to stay faithful! But Evo Lite Plus has my heart! Now i feel like a cheater! Thanks alot!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂. Soon as i can i am getting this drone! The picture quality is beautiful 😍! It was between the Exo Blackhawk 2/3 or this drone. My older brother has the Blackhawk 3. But Autel seems to have got me. So im getting this drone! I would've went team DJI when i first started. But with them having GeoFencing issues and possibly America saying no to there drones. I aint want to take the chance. Especially being they cost alot. Fyi ive always said i would never spend big bucks on a drone. I lied. The better pilot you become sadly means you also want a drone that fits your level of flying! And well now I feel like a hypocrite. That is why I didn't purchase the new and improved F11 Gim2. I feel so bad. I blame you sir lmao 🤣 😂 😆

@IdahoQuadcopter when you get a chance can you do a wind test? Granted yes; no one should be flying in high winds! With the F11 Gim2 old version and my Gd96 drone. Does well in high winds. While in sports mode! I've seen two conflicting videos which leads me to believe they never put in sport or ludicrous mode. I do know Lite + has a heavy wind mode. 😳 I only ask because our last hurricane in the Tampa Bay area. I was able to fly and catch footage of the aftermath in Tampa. The wind gust was 30/40 mph. I would love to be able to continue to fly when its safe of course. Just high winds aka life once the storm is long gone lol. I've seen DJI Mavic do well. But I'm not a DJI fan. Nevertheless 9/10 I'm not flying in high winds. Nice to know I could if I wanted to. Matter of fact youtube videos of DJI in Tampa after hurricanes. So I know they do well in high winds.

Hi Marcus.....Well crap...first it was the Nano+. Now it's your Lite+ your have difficulties with. If all I had was to use a cell phone for the FPV. I'd be getting Tripletech 9 display. 1200 nits constant.

I love the camera on my Lite+ but it's buggy app and the fact that any wind kills the speed of the drone ,results in a sub-standard flying experience. I never feel that way with my DJI drones. Autel is finished in the consumer drone business. Maybe they will succeed in their professional models.
