Autel Evo Nano Plus Drone Setup and Flight

Nice setup and first flight video of the Autel Nano plus. I think your going to like this little drone. I didn't know you could fly it so low to the ground. And don't so hard on Marcus, I was the one holding the controller when his Nano decided to take a swim last year, LOL. Great video, and thanks for sharing Bryan.

I just got one recently. My last drone is a FIMI X8SE 2020 and this is a major upgrade in every respect except wind handling. One thing I tried that worked great was flying indoors in a factory loft space with 10' ceilings. I shut of obstacle avoidance and it was very stable with the optical flow and no GPS available.

Obstacle avoidance really effects the handling on this and the evo 2

Hello i wish you could help me I don't know which drone should I buy if the nano plus or the Dji Mini 3 standard not the pro, I had the mini 2 and never had a problem or issue but I like the nano plus but people has said that I had problems with connection or problems with the return home and some other things can some one helped me please

Cool vid, I like how directly you got right to the flying. I just received my Nano+ but I cannot get the darn thing to activate. It connects okay, then it directly goes into the activation routine (for warranty registration they say)(probably pending Remote ID), but it fails and the “Retry” just repeats the fail. I am totally stuck, the drone remains a brick on the ground and the controller won’t go live. Do you know to get through or around this activation?

@@biketrippinwithbryan Thank you for the reply. Yes, I did, but that did not go so well. It turns out that the web portal registration allowed me to use letters, numbers and punctuation, whereas the app disallows the use of punctuation/symbols. So that could cause problems. Because of this, I created a second identity with a different email address that utilized the same password as I used for the app. Over the weekend I was in touch via email with the customer support. I sent them photos of the various serial numbers on the packaging and finally this morning, I received an email informing me that they had tweaked something on the back-end. I fired up the controller and the drone and it immediately went into the activation process, and it completed in a snap just the way it was supposed to, the drone flies as expected, problem solved.

I just bought and received a second Nano+ because I'm so impressed with the camera and color science. Unfortunately it has a high pitch fan bearing noise that tells me the fan won't last too long so this one has to go back. It works great otherwise.

Good setup video there!!! For you to know, I made on my live stream two free Nano+ to Mavic 3 video color grading (LUTs) that you can easily apply on any video editor. it will allow you to control how the color of the Autel drones to look like the DJI that so many like.

“I don’t want a Marcus Crawford situation...” That was funny. That did suck though watching Marcus’s Nano drop like a fly out of the sky like that. His new one seems to be working fine now. I think all these drones do not do well flying over water overtime because the optical flow camera detects reflection coming off the water and causes issues.

His was high enough not to have that issue, sometimes shit just fucks up, case in point my Anafi which did the same thing as his evo mini

You said something about flying over water that low. That's really not a good idea it messes with the sensor on the bottom of the drone for one. And you asking for disaster for another. But you can try it just be ready for a bad experience.
