Remember this one? Bro a select few of us still fly this damn thing! It just got a firmware update (1.8.2) that did improve a few things and the color signs on the camera is unique enough to use along with no Geo zone and cheaper price then before. It has issues but it's an okay alternative just wish autel had better customer support

Costco has this bundle really cheap with 4 batteries and an essential fly more. It has poor reviews on there. I haven’t looked through them. I’ve been flying DJI since I started flying in 2018. Went from mavic pro to air, to air2s, mini 2, and I just got a mini 3 pro fly more with the works. I only fly the air2s, mini 3 pro and sometimes mini 2 in more risky shots. But this little guy seems a very viable UAV. It certainly seems to have great camera specs, much of the same features as DJI, and a fraction of the cost. I’m not in the market for another mini as my mini 3 pro just set me back almost $1500 and I have so many others, but I’m going to look into what these bad reviews say because seeing how peer they were led me to believe this was a toy, especially for the $500 unbelievable price Costco sells the bundle for. I’m happy I got the mini 3 pro bc I’m loving the new RC controller and I use it between my air2s and mini 3pro. If only it could control the mini 2 as well and I’d be in business!!!

Henrik, at a certain moment I wanted to sell it but after the firmware upgrades I decided to give this drone a second chance The image quality is awesome and better compared to the DJI Mini 3. I even think it matches the camera quality of my Mavic 3 Classic. In my latest video on my YT channel you can see that with a Lut and some editing the color profile from the DJI Mavic 3 (Classic) and DJI Mini 3 Pro can be applied to the Autel Nano plus footage. The standard color profile of the Nano+ has a little too much blue in it. I will keep flying this great little drone. The only thing DJI drones really do better is the wind resistance. But I managed to fly this little bird in quite windy conditions. There is something special about the Nano+ camera quality. So it's definitely a keeper for me and hope to fly it more the next months. The Nano+ is easily one of my favorite top 2 drones. The mistake you made when filming this was putting it in pro mode. Just leave it in Auto with HDR turned on. I set mine to take photos every 5 seconds while I'm video filming. Happy flying.

problem with that is you can't set things like white balance changing mid shot which can happen

Until now (Dec '24), yes I did miss out. But seeing the Nano+ selling online here for AU$499 (~US$325), how could I resist? After the first few flights it seems a shame that the drone launched in '22 wasn't more like this.

Still have mine and I still use it. The camera is a bit better than the Mini Pro 3 but in every other way the Mini 3 just does a better job. I also never fly with the obstacle sensors on. If the sun is shinning the obstacle avoidance just get too many false hits. I keep it around for those times when DJI's geo fence just won't let me fly even with authorization...

Great little drone ,had mines a year, the tracking is not there ,but I don't use it any way, if I want tracking I use my skydio 2. Mine is just as good as the mini 2 ,in the wind. U have to choose speed priority set in the settings for it to get the full performance in the .wind. I can't stand , geo locks, the dji drones have. If I buy a car, the don't need the manufacturer tell me where I can I drive, plus the dji mini 3pro has it problems also,I look at the forums every,. Mines has been great to me and I would not have it any other way.

Love my Nano+ and the only real complaint I have for the Mini 3p is the SD card slot. It takes a screwdriver to get the card in and out. The geofencing can be annoying at times. If DJI didn't have geofencing, I'd probably be a fanboy like so many others.

The OA sound is annoying but you can turn off the sound in the settings. Also, the zoom can go all the way to 16x in smooth zoom by pressing down on the 1x button and a scrolling wheel will pop out. Also, the tracking feature can only track people not objects. Not sure why Autel hasn’t upgraded this so that it can track objects 🤷🏻‍♂️ Nevertheless, I think it’s a phenomenal sub250 drone. And by the way, not sure if anyone noticed but they fixed the color science a bit.

Supporting them is one thing. Manufacturing them is an entirely different thing. They are discontinuing them. Per Autel sales' email in reply to my inquiry, they still have some inventory, but when the inventory is sold, that's it. They're not going to make any more Nano or Lite drones, and they're going to focus on high end commercial and public sector drones from now on.

I've noticed that the Autel Nano+ displays better image quality than the DJI Mini 3 Pro. I came to this conclusion after piloting both drones beneath a bridge by the river on a sunny day.

@TECH DRONE MEDIA Yes on a windy it's just as good as my mini 2, as I said before the settings should be set at speed priority, nit video priority. I flown many cities downtown Houston, Dallas ,Austin, they are all very windy especially at 1200 feet in air. I have never struggled to make it there or back and I have flown a mile away.

Go to GAVINHR's channel and get some Superyagi range extenders if it's the original Mavic Mini. They work really well, and I use them whenever signal interference gets silly - but you do need to keep track of the drone's bearing from the controller. Yagis propagate the signal in one direction, but the extra signal strength in the beam is "stolen" from off-beam.
