Such a wonderful opening sentence: "lets talk about God!" What a blessing to have a wife like that, Jordan! Proverbs 31 come true!

I am 29 years old and I am learning to listen to that voice. It is very hard because, at the moment, it is telling me to wait and trust that God will put everything in the right place. However, my fears sometimes make me want to be in control of the situation. I hope for the day when it will be more natural for me to follow what God has planned for me.

I invite you to develop a set of „go to“ practices. Make a list of things that soothe your fears when they pop up. With time, you learn to depend on yourself to move gracefully through though moments.

Hi Tammy, I always wondered about you a long time ago, and wondered who you were and what your 'light' was, and always hoped to hear from you, so I'm so glad that you're shining your light and expressing in this way, God bless you.

I went to Alanon on the advice of a counselor for over 2 years. I wondered for over a year why I was there and what was I to be learning ? Slowly little by little and listening to others , what I had been living through Others had also been living through even tho the addictions of our loved ones were different. And we had to accept the things we could not change and the courage to change the things we could . AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!

The 12 step groups are truly amazing. I reccomend it to everyone even people not in an addiction, it blows anything else away I think you could ever do in terms of how drastically it improves your life. The book by chuck c "a new pair of glasses' shows you how good life can get in a program like that for anyone interested.

Thank you for this honest and inspiring conversation, it is all so relatable. Especially that about the two voices. I need to learn to take time to properly listen to the silent wise one, stress often makes me simply blank out and the brain races to find a solution, based in distrust and the feeling I am alone with all responsibility. Distrust in myself? In God? Both? Missing reality is such a good consept. The stress seems always to look back or ahead.

Tammy and Sage, thank you so much for sharing. It is so important that the feminine divine energy is also shared through the media, through podcasts because it is mostly dominated by men. I am so grateful for the strong masculine Men who are sharing wisdom as as well as an example to younger men and boys too. So grateful. I am so happy that you did share because there are so many young women, and women of all ages that gain from both of your beauty and wisdom. And it is slim pickins' for such quality, authentic and loving conversations for women to other women about women to listen to. Most of the internet is full of women objectified or ones complaining about it. Thank you for sharing the best of being women and being so personal and authentic and adding value to our world.

The piano teacher - it's really none of my business, of course, and if you'd like a suggestion from someone who got piano lessons throughout her childhood since age 6, I'd suggest you ask him to teach her early how to play her own music and how to improvise by ear, by teaching her the cords, and how it all fits together, and easy ways to improvise. It's where the fun lies and where the understanding of music comes from, too, and it will also help her with classical pieces. I discovered that way too late, I had been forced to practice scales and classical pieces for years, being corrected for every wrong note (which kills the fun) before I discovered this. I already hated practicing, and it was the most dreaded part of the day, so I never really developed it, although when I finally knew the piece, I did enjoy playing it at times. But I never learned how to improvise well, and I stopped playing as soon as I moved out of home. I only discovered that there was another way when I went to the US as an exchange student and discovered that there, piano students had oftentimes learned to play the piano just by listening to music - unthinkeable where i came from, way too unstructured for those I grew up with - and THAT then wet their appetite to also play classical music. And they still love it to this day, I'm sure. She may then enjoy practicing and not dread it at some point.

Thank you. I needed this advice for my grandson. He is a natural talent. After about 10 lessons, the pandemic hit. He then learned music that he liked by learning from KZbin videos; some classical. After school was back in session, he quit playing. After a year, he is playing again on his own, inspired by a current song that he wants to learn. He learned most of the song in 2 hours. My daughter ter and I are just encouraging him to continue getting finger on the keys-at his pace. I wish we could find the right teacher when he’s ready; someone that will teach the music he likes. hHaving the ability to play an instrument is so life-enriching!
