We loved meeting Mr. Porfirio Flores González and hearing his stories 💈🙌🏼 Originally from Oaxaca, Mr. Porfirio is now 81 years old and made the journey to Mexico City in 1963 in search of a better future. He remembers the long train ride with people selling tamales, tacos, and pulque along the way 🚃 Looking back, Mr. Porfirio has fond memories of Mexico City with the old crocodile and parrot taxis (cocodrilos & cotorras 🚖), and back then a haircut cost only 4 pesos! 💇🏻♂ Thanks so much to our friends, Edgar and Rodo, at Starlite Barber Shop for all the behind the scenes support 🙏🏼❤

I grew up in South America in a large city and sometimes I miss the street noise; the things that you would normally hear during the day. In those days we had people pushing their carts along the street offering to buy glass bottles and paper, mostly old newspapers. We always saved the newspapers so that they could "buy them" from us; hopefully to make a little money when they sold them to be recycled.
