Authentic Plus rules. I just wish the “throw away clip” option worked differently. They should make it to where you set aside a partial clip and have to re-sort your ammo when you have some downtime like sitting in a bush.

That would be cool but one can’t complain when practically no other game offers it. This would have been cool in SE5 with the workbenches though it would have been easier to implement something where partially empty clips/magazines consolidate at workbenches

@@TheFloodFourm Hello there fellow late Nate! In case you're still playing this or SE5 I have a little tip for you. If you'd like to reload without losing the rest of the clip you can simply change the ammo type for that weapon and then change it back. A bit cheap, I know, but I think of it as a way to do what the original comment suggested even though it ain't the same. Try it - it's a wonderful pastime for those long moments sitting in a bush deep behind enemy lines.

@@rileywheeler3820 kill cams are fun. Better anatomy and more of the body itself so that's fun. I can't get tired of the cams so them allowing us to have a none - frequent setting is pretty dope. The maps are fun but so far im on the third mission but after the first mission there weren't tons of optional objectives so I wasn't so much into the 2nd mission as much as I was in the 1st mission. The setting is alright, I mean I don't want to take anything away but I just wish they added more optional objectives and more exploration areas. I wish they added back vehicle x-ray kill cams which they added in SE3 and removed in SE4 but I wish they brought it back into SE5. The customisation is a whole lot better instead of doing challenges for 3 upgrades you do challenges and locate workbenches for new items to work with on the battlefield. The "Be The Enemy" mode is fun but it's hard to spot the other player because they either spot you first or in some circumstances, just outright die by some axis enemy. Multi-player is alright, but I haven't played that much and I haven't played survival (or whatever its called) so I'll give it an 8.5-10.

About kill confirmation (11:45), the sound effect for enemy death still happens in Authentic Plus, although it may be hard to notice it depending on how much gunfire is happening or how louder the music is. Awesome job on the video, nonetheless.

Authentic+ does set a single checkpoint when the bad guy surprise you at the end of "Allagra Fortress" before he runs off to catch a plane. This is the only checkpoint you get. I could really have used one during Deathstorm Part 3: Obliteration after you sabotage the reactor as timing the explosions to get out can be tricky, but unfortunately Rebellion was not that kind.

Rebellion was not kind at all in that regard, trying to make a video game realistic or „authentic“ is a contradiction fundamentally. There’s a reason there weren’t any actual agents like Karl Fairburne, they would have gotten killed on such an island immediately.

Yo BB, great info video. Def putting the time in the video and game. Some People playing sniper games get irritated when the game mission takes too long but it’s so damn hard to make a realistic game mode. Enjoy it people even if the missions are less than 10 but if you play it the right way it will take days or weeks if you don’t abuse/cheat the game mechanics

Outstanding video. I've got 2500 hours in the game and learned a lot from it. Only quibble I can make is that I think the damage done by snipers may need a second look. Some of the black snipers on A+ can be especially lethal.

One way to know if the enemy is dead in A+ is to maxout the bullet cam rate, so when activate you know that is a fatal shot and can skip the rest of the animation ta acquire a new target

zh-29, drilling, hdm. that's the loadout i used in order to clear all missions in the game (dlcs included) in a+....most of them solo.

Know this is late but what I would recommend is either carcano, mosin, or Springfield. For smg u can take mp40 for the ammo. For pistol, u can take what u like, keep in mind that suppressed ammo makes noise so I wouldn't recommend a Welrod, at least hdm is semi. Hope this helps

@@sheepishbaton0399 Carcano is pretty bad on A+ I've stuck with the Springfield, Thomson and Welrod. Even with the 4x zoom I'd say the Springfield narrowly beats the Mosin thanks to muzzle velocity while the Fnab and M1911 are the probably the best for the secondary slots.

Brilliant video yet again.. One thing I miss for the Sniper Elite series is the significance and reliance of the "Notches" as they where in the first game. I fondly remember sitting with the first games manual, pen and pad, trying to work my brain towards doing the math and calculate the variance in head sizes in the scope to get that One Shot, One Kill ethos. I tend to switch off the Zoom in Empty Lung feature to try and emulate it as accuratly as I can... same goes for Kill Cams, don't get me wrong, I love the cinematic Kill Cams but it has a tendency to be a little tedious after a bit and I have always liked to see the bullet impact in my scope instead.. One thing that would be an interesting feature would be if there where a max range to how and when the enemy could hear your shot, ie in Ghost Recon Wildlands if your shot is taken at a minimum of 750 meters you don't need a silencer because the sound doesn't travel far enough for the enemy to be able to locate its origin. Oh well, I suppose its just nit picking on my part... Either way, looking forward to see your work on SE5.. Keep'em coming, mate! :P

I'm French. Sorry about my English. I love authentic difficulty. It's only because you can't use silenced weapon it is a hard difficulty. If you custom difficulty with silencer but all in authentic it's a funny difficulty.

The non stop searching is scary AF. throw a rock and suddenly you have 100+ soldiers looking for you. And they dont play around. Without a minimap it really is authentic. You gotta be so smart. and be a one man army. no wonder I couldn’t move from hard to authentic. its bloody nuts.

In Survival there are more differences between A and A+ however. Nothing but AMMO on the Command posts in A+, no mines, med kits, bandages etc in A+. Also much less supplies from looting in A+ when compared to A. Heath is also less on A+ than A, especially from the Valkyrie Snipers that will take you down in 1 shot in A+ if you are not at 100% heath.

On Authentic Plus there are no quicksaves in the entire game (except 1). If you die, you restart the whole mission. But you can still manual save whenever you like though.

I think they are the same for all difficulty levels. But, naturally, you always get the No Assist bonus for rifle kills in Authentic and Authentic Plus.

I got killed by the sniper with one shot in the magazzeno mission. I was behind a Wall, in a fight by the tunnel/bridge near the radio satellite thing, and he killed me as soon as I showed my head or tried to run to another position. It could have been that my health was not optimal, but there was no visual blood on screen. Also, I believe the Valkyrie snipers are better.

Wow 45 m to hear the Welrod is extremly far considering some recent tests have shows that it's almost imperceptable in a quiet environment at more than 15feet away. 45m is like more than it's effective range. I do like that the entire map starts searching tho after a while that's cool why is this hidden behind the hardest difficulty that's a nice mechanic and makes sense why would they just chill next to their dead comrades there is still a sniper out and about.

No, on SE4 on A+ you can manually save making it easier than A in SE3. Although there is a trophy for completing A+ without manually saving on SE4.

@@BrutalBarracuda i did the trophy couple days ago on A without maually saving, and i loved it. and you are right... it was a hell doing A on SE3, i did on the PS3, but i couldn't do the mission 7 i think (the airfield) everytime i tried after 15+ hours, to do the waves almost at the end( i think you have to protect allies coming in ), but i died everytime and could do the mission again.

I wanted to point out 2 things in the video: 1- There's no comparison of how further enemies can hear you from without suppressed ammo, although I think, for rifles, anything beyond 110m, should be fine 2- Judging by the comparison of how much damage a sniper does, in authentic+, the hud doesn't tell you when a sniper has completely spotted you (I would assume it was cut from the clip, but I can't be sure) . Other than that, it's a very nice video, good job!

Am I wrong when I say that Authentic Plus is almost impossible to complete without being 100% stealth?? It’s a total different game than the rest of the modes IMO. If you get into a shootout, like the guy in the video said, it’ll get tricky to even snoop and stealth around after that. It kinda…. Sucks in a way…

Nah you can go loud and beat it. Going loud or stealth, both are fun ways to play. Stealth is my fav tho.

Excellent video....My opinion- the authentic mode is crap...its super difficult to play stealthy, 1 mistake and the whole map will go bonkers and then it feels like you are playing a COD game.....I have played the entire game including the DLCs without my map going red in the Sniper Elite difficulty. But in authentic difficulty its just too frustrating....,

You are wrong. An enemy sniper with a karabiner 98k kills you with 2 shots if you are closer than where you tested. You were at least 190 m. away from him. That is the reason he shot you 3 times.

Also to add. In authentic plus, if you encounter Valkyrie sniper in mission DLCs, they can kill you in 1-2 shots
