What the recipe for your homemade all purpose seasoning?
@AuthenticPlantbasedEats3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a set recipe as yet, hence I haven’t shared it, will do soon though. However it’s mixture of dried herbs, onion, garlic, salt, chives, pepper, cane sugar, etc.

So… when I make beans… it takes forever!!!! And I was told to never salt dry beans until the cook through. How is this a thing?
@AuthenticPlantbasedEats3 жыл бұрын
I’ve never had an issue adding a "little" salt to the beans while they cook. I’ve known the opposite that it cooks faster while giving the beans some taste as they cook. Honestly it depends on the beans. Every bag of beans different even the same kind, so the cook time will vary. Either way the goal is to cook the beans so it comes down to personal preference as far as adding a little salt. Soaking the beans overnight or for at least 2 hours will reduce the cooking time.

Could I use red kidney beans instead?
@AuthenticPlantbasedEats3 жыл бұрын
Yes
@cheezheadz39283 жыл бұрын
You can always use a different bean or omit entirely. Recipes are just guides.
