This is a fantastic explanation of the form, especially with Uke in full armor to demonstrate why the strikes are directed where they are. I'm glad to see the way I was taught the form is very close to this teacher's.

I also have never seen this portion of the video. I hop ei can find more. it is rare to have anyone explain the omote and ura of a technique, that which is seen and that which is understood by those in battle. Thanks for posting this valuable insight to this kata.

Oos. Estel, I found the "walk-through" portion of this video very helpful for practicing on my own. I am now learning Nanasu no Tachi in my dojo, but we only meet for kenjutsu once a week. I am wondering if you have a video like this for Nanatsu no Tachi? Arigato gozaimasu.
