This is because there will always be imposters who can't simply shut up and train. Regardless of the art form, there will always be the idiots who will never master anything but punching and kicking. We live in an MMA drunk society, where for some Martial arts has to be about complete violence rather than mastery of the self and self discipline.
@gordonlekfors27083 жыл бұрын
@@WritingEliteGaming it's no wonder that people react to these sorts of nonsense teachings. it claims to be self defense, but is not realistic in the least. it should be more honest with what it is: a martial art choreography or historical dance, and nothing else. in contrast, MMA is very influential because it tests and it proves. fine if you'd like to do some historical ninja sparring (I can sort of understand that), only you don't even do sparring!

@@gordonlekfors2708 Have you ever studied a traditional Martial art. If not you should remain silent. MMA isn't a martial art. It's a mix of traditional martial arts, the very same arts you are attempting to defame.
@punisher77722 жыл бұрын
Absolutely 💯 Never mind them they have no idea what they are talking about for one thing. This is a great art and for the doubters & critics this art has been used very successfully on the street. I personally know people who have defended themselves in real fights using Ninpo.It was never meant for competition and fighting in the ring. I don't think you'll find any actual ninjutsu practitioners who desire to be world champion kickboxers or MMA stars seeking fame. If you know what a real Shinobi warrior is the idea of that is pretty absurd and contrary to how they operate. And have you ever heard the story of the Jiu Jitsu guys who went to Japan to challenge the teachers there ? They both fought Nagato ( actually wasn't really a challenge because he did not accept. They attacked and he had no choice but to defend himself because they would not take no for an answer ) and it didn't end so well for them.
@punisher77722 жыл бұрын
@@gordonlekfors2708 yes MMA works in the cage. I don't care how rough it gets it's still not a street fight. Until they add weapons, multiple attackers, dirty fighting and get rid of the referee and the weight classes it will forever remain a combat sport. Keep in mind it is a SPORT it's not a real fight on the street with no rules. Also you would have to replace the padded floor with concrete. And the art of Ninjutsu, contrary to what you want to believe, does work in real fighting. Just because you have no knowledge about it doesn't make it untrue. But I will forgive you because you just don't know any better. There are plenty of ex military and law enforcement guys who would disagree with you. I also know of at least one former bouncer who also would say your wrong.
A room full of almost a hundred full grown men. Probably paying $700-$800 for a day long seminar. And then asking to be defeated by sticking their arms out in awkward, obnormal postures. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? It looked like at any moment he would demonstrate levitation or something. This was a fad forty years ago. But some people never learn. That was sad.
@jon824894 жыл бұрын
I disagree this demonstration he's showing is a different take on martial arts with weapons but his overall message is the same which is using your body to move rather than waste energy fighting. I get it from what your seeing it looks like rehearsed movement but if you look closely his students are committed in their punches or whatever attack they have for Soke and Soke would move at the last second precisely in order to take his opponents space and control by having 3 points of contact, believe me it's not easy learning to do it that way it's pretty scary and for him to do it with ease is absolutely amazing

There is more showmanship & hero worship in these videos compared to 20 years ago where it was about efficiency. I understand Hatsumi is older now & I respect all that but with the evolution of flow demonstrations (which should be practiced & developed anyhow) the opposition, or attacker, should be more genuine, less 'fall guy', maintain their balance & counter strikes so Hatsumi has to position himself better too. Why the hell is everyone clapping? This has become a circus, a show. The students must understand why they are there. If it's to be in awe & hero worship then ok, that's evident, but if it is to develop understanding then first find yourself & then take ideas, practice & evolve.

This is a “historical” martial art. I can respect that. We should all respect it if we are truly martial artists or fans thereof. When it comes to self defense; I become more particular to what is useful is my current environment. In the U.S., firearms would be consider no. 1 in a life/death scenario followed by a highly proven “effective” & “modernized” tactical system. Personally, I remember those lessons on hard styles and soft styles. Effective “Hard” styles being force against force systems i.e., MMA, Krav Maga, etc. I consider the soft styles to be Gracie Jiu Jitsu (GJJ), & BJJ (as there is a differentiation between this and GJJ).

Mucha suerte. .

There are good ideas and skills that come from this system. I trained in it for only a short time, about a year, but for everything I disliked about it there were realistic and good concepts as well. Honestly the biggest thing that surprised me was the structure and order in which things were done. I was expecting things to be more free and interpritational when it was very sturctured. Not the worst system I have ever seen, to be sure.
@onefleetingsmile2 жыл бұрын
I feel compelled to answer for the sake of future martial artists. You trained at a particular school that does not - as not any one does outside of Japan - represent Bujinkan Budo. Where I train, you are taught not to follow a kata, but to develop an understanding of the human body and of space, which allows you ultimately to flexibly react to any situation. This is also at the heart of Soke's teachings.

@joaopaulowdeandrade79055 жыл бұрын
@Jhon Mc Zaf Meu caro... Eu nunca fiz e nem desejo fazer sparring.
@joaopaulowdeandrade79055 жыл бұрын

@Danny C Illumini I've seen at least 5 threads with you posting this exact comment. Also 20 page long rants, you seem obsessed with this topic you find so frustrating. Calling everyone here a fool while demonstrating your own lack of restraint is laughable. You mentioned mental training. With your "extensive" knowledge on the topic, you would know practicing patience and self control is a core tenant of most martial arts. Compose yourself fool.

@Danny C Illumini Given your proclivity for long hot air filled messages I didn't feel the need to read this, since I never once said the martial art was real. I was simply stating in very plain vanilla terms that you appear to be obsessed to an unhealthy degree with this topic. Having posted the same post 5+ times in the exact same words inserting yourself into conversations to prove a point.

😂😂😂😂 i would like him to make some sparring with some mma fighters... May be there are beautiful and funny techniques but let s be seriously sometimes...

Ninjutsu is not only sparring in the first Clip is he using tekagi you can catch swords or climbing trees with it.Ninjutsu use every dirty move to kill the enemy btw he is the grandmaster (Sōke) and 89 years old be seriously this fight against the MMA fighter would be not fair.And in my opinion is the taijutsu in the Bujinkan Budo taijutsu better then MMA my favourite is the Taihenjutsu👍...

@@FireThowie May be i was not cleared when I written my sentences. I don't criticize Taijutsu techniques but the way to learn them. Ninja was people whose their job was to kill, spy and sabotage places. So the techniques had to be discreet, quick and effective (in one or two moves and that's it, the enemy is down). The Taijutsu techniques had not been created to fight in a ring against someone on guard. Taijutsu had been created to hit in discretion. In other words, the Taijutsu techniques are very effective when the enemy doesn't expect the ninja and that's exclusively the moment when the ninja will act. For example, a ninja will act from behind with a hit of knife in the carotid. In a fight, a ninja doesn't fight, he leaves for coming back later when the enemy will be focusing on someone or something, other than the ninja. It's exactly like self defense, it has not been created to fight with someone who is attacking the victim. It has been created to act when the aggressor will just bother the victim and doesn't expect being hit by the victim. So when I've written I would like him to fight with an mma champion, I meant that the way of the master to demonstrate the techniques is like he would be ready to have fight, which is wrong. Of course you can for example lie the enemy with a rope if he is not fighting and he doesn't expect something from the ninja or doesn't see the ninja, but it's wrong to think that in a fight you can lie someone because of the fluidity of the fight. There is a really easy experience to prove what I say : just try on someone who is fighting well and you will see that it's not possible. Finally, He just makes believe the student to be ready to fight, so he is not honest, that is really disappointing from someone who has a kind of reputation. It's no respectfull for the student and for the ninja ancestors.

@@vladm6848 he is showing traditional katas in bujinkan is also Judo throws like seōnage today are this techniques which he showed not good for combat but other techniques from BBT(Bujinkan budo taijutsu) are good for it. Did you learn all techniques of all 9 ryu’s(school) I think no There are sooo much techniques but in a fight you must fight instinctively when you know much techniques you know how you win the fight.

Some good techniques in there , cool instructor too. but this is a good example of the culture of cult-like idolization of instructors. The overly cooperative demonstrations and techniques themselves suggest a style that may not be grounded in reality, and certainly would not work well against a good fighter. These styles are better practiced to preserve the foundations and traditions of the old school. Itd be safer to train mma to be an effective fighter.

MMA is a sport, it's not real fight and almost no real fights is like a MMA match (2 equal opponent facing each other and start at the same time). Go buy a gun if you want to be a "effective fighter". If you want entertainment buy a ticket to a MMA match.
