I tried to do nano this year, I got 2000 words done on day 1, but from there on I was just so mentally drained I couldn't keep up, so I've decided to just write my story on my own time as it's my first time doing Nano and I have school work to keep up with. So I guess I'll try again next year. Congrats to anyone who is resilient enough to stick with it.

I always try really hard to nano, and I usually get about four chapters done. It's a nice kickstarter for the year, but I don't write the whole book. I just try to write as much as I can. Keep on writing, and don't let it bother you if you don't finish the book in a month. It's a superhuman feat, especially if you have schoolwork to keep up with. Just do your best, and don't worry about anything else.

I'm so behind. However, after watching this vlog. I know I can get it done. Maybe it's the story that's causing the writer's block. So, tomorrow morning, I will have two writing sessions and in the afternoon another two more. I have written 56,765 words in twelve days. And it was my first time at NANOWRIMO. Thank you for keeping it real.

I wasn't planning to do NaNo this year, then the cast of a long neglected story appeared and I got dragged along. I'm at 7k words right now, aiming to reach 10k before I head to bed tonight. I love your vlogs. Your house is amazing. And I like your hair's natural state! I think most of us have hair more on the side of wavy, when we don't process the heck out of it.

You are doing fantastic! Watching you push through a block was very inspiring. Everyone always says you just gotta push through but you allowed everyone to actually watch your process and the results. Much like writing, showing is much better than telling 😉

I was so hyper watching this, I actually yelled out “Go Kristen go!” during one of the time lapses. Also can I just say you looked beautiful in every clip - with and without make-up. It’s amazing to see you blooming in so many ways. You’ve come so far since you started this channel, I’m so proud of you! I’ve done my writing today (it’s lunchtime currently) - my problem at the moment is motivating myself to study. I’m gonna try cheering myself on like I did for you, haha. GO GO GO

I don’t know whether to feel depressed or motivated 😂. Truly happy for you. You are killing NaNo as always! I’m so behind, again. Can’t seem to write every day for some reason, I certainly can’t do your word counts in an hour! Hoping with time and some consistency I’ll get better at this.

Yay! Another writing vlog! I love these so much. I did a similar thing this week and started writing more on other days to give myself a break once a week when I go to visit my brother an hour away. I am still on schedule almost half way through the month which is surprising for my first NaNoWriMo. I still have not come up with character names, referring to them as MC and SC3 (Side Character 3) and such. I need to get on that.

I try to stick with gel caps for things like Aleve if I can get them. The smaller the pill, the better. Currently experiencing writing block, but I'm just going to keep writing regardless of how horrible it turns out. I keep having to add "he said" and "she said" and it's not flowing properly right now.

I've been working on a text-adventure game since last April, and I thought how neat it would be have such a high word count. Well, I checked the word count on it, and it's up to 18,806 words, which is about 10,000 more words than I expected to find.

I am so curious about what it is about the difficult character that makes him tricky for you. I wonder if he is partly based upon someone who perplexes you in some way. Would it help if you just let go of control and let him be who he is? You can always change it later if you hate it, but sometimes good things come from the bad. Just an idea that may be completely off base but I thought I would share it just in case :)

You are so lucky. I had writer's block for the first 4 days of NaNoWriMo, switched to another story, then got sick, and even including the stuff I wrote for the old book I'm still thousands of words behind 😫. Any tips of getting back on track without overwhelming myself so drastically? My current goal is 25,000 by the 16th, and I'm at 14,151 (day 12)

Hello Kristen, I just found your channel, I'm a writer as well, well, I try to be. I started writing my first Novel in September and I'm currently stuck at Chapter 25 with 36 thousand words done (my goal is 90 thousand words). In a good day I write at least a thousand words, in a really bad day I don't write anything. I don't know what to write next since middle March, I want to finish this Novel (hopefully) this Summer. By the way, even if I finish my Novel I have a feeling that no one wants to or will read it because here in my Country I have to pay a lot of money to Publish my stories. Is it normal to think that my Novel isn't good enough? Take care.
