Thx I appreciate the advice as I'm starting to wonder if my 15 yo daughter has signs of aspergerers. I don't know but trying to learn. If so it's mild but she quirky. Not sure if it's just that or more. AnywY ty

Amazing video as always Hollie and you as always have got it do right I learnt very quickly into my parenting journey of a mum to 3 autistic sons that all the parenting strategies that are stereotypically used for neurotypical children will not work for neurodiverse children its about learning about your individual child and what they need whst does or doesn't work for them then adapting your parenting around them. all 3 of my boys have autism but they have complete different needs and need different support! Your mum sounds like an incredible woman has she ever thought about doing a video from the parents point of view? Or you do a video together so we can hear both sides I would definitely be interested in watching 👀

Great video!! Can I ask you a question about the the jokes? My daughter also doesn’t like jokes and she always asks us what is funny. But when she watches tv shows or movies she is cracking up. Do you know what the difference is? I’ve asked her before and she just says they are funny but people around her in real life aren’t funny.
@holliemabbott9493 жыл бұрын
of course you can ask me a question, i do understand what your child means by people in life 'aren't funny', I only find people with naturally funny personality's (not jokes or people purposely trying to make others laugh) funny and i find this is easier to come by on the tv. Your daughter may also get absorbed into the 'tv world' and the characters in the tv show, which is what I did for a sense of escape. However it really does come down to what kind of humor you prefer and if people try be funny in real life it feels unnatural whereas on the tv it seems more natural and find it a lot less awkward. Hope any of that makes sense as it is quite hard to explain but i do understand where she's coming from.
@galacticmia83713 жыл бұрын
For me it's because jokes are just an easy riddle that's supposed to be funny, and TV moments actually show the action.
