@@robloxgirl8756 I am full on against when it comes to group homes that profit and don't do what they are supposed to! You have to be careful. See something say something cause you can't really on the staff and that means don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. I am 26 living on my own with ASD and I swear I would rather die than end up in one of these! Noah actually makes me crack a big smile and laugh cause I just love seeing this little swan grow and show his amazing attributes. I like that his mom here is thoughtful and does'nt show his meltdowns and does actually handle the situation appropriately. My mom is alot like Stephanie(and yes she's also a redhead but she goin on sixty) but my father(whom she has been with since 1978)was never emotional supportive and would become extremely verbally and emotionally abusive. Our relationship is only starting to patch up and I was estranged for an entire year. Just like Noah I was quite the firecracker. My mom actually had to call the police when I was 11 I just snapped and had a psychotic break. I was dealing with bullying at school and my younger sister was having health issues which had put quite a stress on da familia. I call my hospital records "my rap sheet" and use the term pound instead of hospital which I think makes a great insider term.

I'm autistic too and have slept with a fan (or air conditioner) for as long as I can remember. The white noise of the fan seems to create a kind of "sound blanket", it blocks out all the random quieter noises with a constant hum. It somehow makes the room feel more comfortable, and makes me feel less vulnerable.

Im moderate autistic spectrum adult and always have to have a fan on my whole life. The white noise and my internal temperature are the 2 most reasons. 3rd reason is patterns and routines. No fan no sleep and major problems next day. I cant sleep if its warm or hot, and always enjoy cold when sleeping and thru day (temp sensitivities with sensory). I also never slept in a bed much if any when I was younger, foam pad on floor or air mattress thru my 20s or recliners until i was woke up in a tangled mess "body" or other overnite issues. I still fought the bed issue until a few years ago when i got a denver mattress, then ended up with a twin from them a year ago and made it where i cant fall out, get twisted up as bad etc., and it keeps the bed stable, kinda like a toddler bed design and that has really helped alot. Helped alot finding the right bed and bedding, pjs etc due to body sensitivity sensory issues.

My brother sleeps with a fan and even if its 0 out side he will have it on. He has never been tested and I would love to have him tested he is 23. Its hard to live with him at times because he is really bossy and also its his way all the time! I am the oldest and I can't ever get my way in the house when he is around. I thought he would of never been able to have a job and he has a part time job teaching kids to swim and i am happy that he does that 4 times a week 3 hours a day. He is really dramatic but at times he is really funny. Smells, sounds and clothes are the top three things that he is always driving me and are youngest brother crazy over those things. He also can't stand it when people talk about things he is not in to and he will turn you off and this is some thing my dad and trying to fix. He is needing to learn some house rules like feeding the dogs, cleaning and making dinner for your self. He wants some one to do every thing for him all the time and it is really hard because I want him to learn new times and also grow up. I have dyslexia and its hard for me to do some things but I learned how to read after I started writing poems and songs when I was 19. Your kids are all so cool!

I don't understand why you'd have a homeschool room rather than a room for each boy instead? Maybe it's because I'm not in the US and homeschoolers in the UK don't have this "homeschool room" culture, they just use their dining room or living room and it works. It has to anyway because our homes in Europe aren't that big and don't have that many rooms. I love seeing closets. Makes me so jealous because here, a walk-in closet is what rich people have, we normal folks couldn't dream of that.

My Fiancè is a die hard Dragon Ball Z fan. His 10yr old sister loves Friday Nights of Freddy. Lol I love Anime as well like Tokoyo Ghoul, Attack on Titians, etc. I actually had no idea about the sensory room. Since we found out that we were pregnant with our first baby, we moved from a 2 bedroom and 1 bath to a 3 bedroom and 2 bath trailer. We felt that Steven (not liking noises and babies make them...lol) that having his own space wss crucial. Changes are super hard for him to adjust to. (Like he has just accepted my Fiancè and I are together. And we've been together for over 4yrs now.) His room is far from Izzy's. However we do need to lock our fridge since he also has Down Syndrome and they love to eat. However he has Type 1 Diabetes and is insulin dependent plus can only eat Gluten Free foods....we worry about him eating the wrong foods.
