Autism Boy Adam Sleeps in Showroom

Unpredictable, impulsive, and full of surprises, that’s how ADAM is in public. He has sensory issues and can be overloaded at any time especially in public where there are just too much going on. Many parents would prefer to keep their Autistic kids away from the public for this reason. They are afraid of the child creating a nuisance or simply making an embarrassing scene. We understand coz we too feel the same. We need to be considerate to the public. But on the other hand, our son deserves to be exposed to the world as well. So here you go, as we were browsing the showroom, Adam suddenly decided to jump onto one of the beds in the showroom. He literally had planned to take a nap there. It took us some 20 minutes to get him off that bed. Luckily the workers there were understanding. Thumbs up to them for not pressuring us. They left us alone and gave us time to manage the situation. We somewhat created a scene for the shoppers. They too were kind and not made us felt uncomfortable.
