When friends/family tell you, "Oh he'll talk when he's ready" or "He's just overly tired", please understand that they are just trying to help in their own ways. It's not meant to deceive you. Your Jacob is a beautiful child and with the two of you as his parents makes you all blessed!

@@chriswhite7323 thanks Chris! My almost 2 year old granddaughter has been showing signs of Autism in the last 2 mos. and at first I was saying the same thing because I couldn't wrap my head around the idea and didn't want to scare my daughter. Her friends were saying the same thing. There is nothing I wouldn't do for a child. They are all children of God and need our love and protection. I can't speak for dads; but once you become a mother you never retire!

I don't know what level the boys are at this point. I have started taking the three year old to speech therapy. I will keep you posted. Thank you for talking about this topic.

My daughter is 15 months and I’ve known for a while that something isn’t right. I have to wait a year for an evaluation for autism. But I’ve done my research and I’m struggling. I’m a single mom with no help and no support and I’m really struggling. Your videos have helped me, so thank you.

I am so glad you posted this and are such strong advocates for Jacob! He will do amazing things, even if it’s in his own way ❤️ My son is also ASD level 3, he is 7 now has come such a long way but also a long way to go. It’s amazing to see how much you have started to understand Jacob’s diagnosis already. Early intervention is the best thing for him right now, and lots of love of course ☺️

Just want to say you are such a beautiful mother and I really admire the way you are towards your children. You have such a calm and loving demeanour. You inspire me to be the best mother I can be, iv'e seen your recent video of Jacob talking which is so exciting! This video made me cry! Hello there , I just now came across your page. You are such a wonderful person. I am so glad I have came across you page. I have a 8 year son that has autism. He was diagnosed at 2 as well. It is good to know that I can see other mothers that have a child with autism and know that i am not alone because I am the only one in my family with a child that has autism and they really don't understand the situation because my son did talk at the age of 2. But he is talking at some point. It hurts because people look at me and ask why does he talk like that... I would just leave and cry but I now found a page where i am inspired to go to and know that they understand and know that is hard but everything will be alright and just to keep moving forward not backwards.....

Naw. You know where I am if I can help and so glad you found comfort in my words. I meant it. You guys are perfect for him. He will thrive. Keep on keeping on. I find that the hardest thing is the perception folks have on behaviours. They think because he looks “normal” and sounds “normal” then he is just misbehaving. It’s a constant battle for me to know when to accept a behaviour for an expression of “the world is too much mum” to “I just want my own way”. Early intervention will help Jacob (and you guys) so much. X M

We had it confirmed that our 3 yr old daughter has autism. But no level was mentioned. I wondered if this is an Aussie dr’s thing? My daughter is beautiful and funny and affectionate. We already had help to connect with her through speech & language therapy. This really helped us all connect. Look up the Sparks method. I always knew my baby girl was unique and brilliant. This won’t change how we look at her (she is our princess) and we love her to the moon and back

Doesnt explain that 3 second, many times a day squeal, neither singular word 'mum' echoing. ?? Going ro check in with the health nurse next week and also going to try with a peadiatrician. Also going ro document everything through video and photo.

Hi there Jess, I'm, Benison the mother of Matthew, boyfriend of Natalie Abreu, who forwarded me your video. We have an 18 year old, Sam, with ASD Level 2. Jacob is absolutely gorgeous and reminds me very much of Sam at the same age! My book 'The Complete Autism Handbook' (formerly 'The Australian Autism Handbook') was designed for parents just like you and your husband, in the emotional time straight after diagnosis. It's a tiny bit out of date with respect to the NDIS but most of the information is still relevant today and its contributors are parents of children with autism, who know exactly what you're going through right now. No need to buy a copy as you can probably pick it up at your local library. The Raising Children autism website, Autism Awareness Australia website are also excellent. Keep the faith and Jacob will do well. He has committed loving parents and that's the best asset he could ever have. You can see Sam at 14 on an Australian Story episode from July 2017, called My Son Sam, which is also available on KZbin. x.

Don't focus on the level. It will change with therapy and just regular development. The levels correspond to the amount of support the child needs at this moment which at age 2 with or without autism is a high level since most toddlers can't do much on their own. My son at 27mo was level 3 but at age 5yo hes level 1 after intensive therapy. Please don't let the level break your heart. Its not set. It can change.

Me too I burst into tears when I saw this video. My baby girl is having some signes of autiism but she is only 11 months' old. My husband is doubting my observation and said that I was just being a psychopath...I feel so alone. But my daughter was really having those signs non-stop. I'm so worrying... about her future.... Than you so much for your video. You are absolutely an amazing mom. ❤️ And Jacob is such a happy and intelligent boy. Hugs

@@aussieautismfamily Looks like the person tried to tell you about Protocol Nemechek. Please,if you have still never have heard before about, first read his book "Protocol Nemechek".Also this doctor has videos on ytube and on a Facebook you can find the page with parents discussing and commenting who already put and tried protocol on their kids with delays and autism. What is obvious, if it won't help it wont hurt but worth to try it.And as I see the person also mentioned in comment, gluten free and lactose casein free diet for kids with problems like these. All should work in a complexion diet gluten free,ABA,OT,Speech Therapy,PT and protocol.Guys, really check and read the book and videos of this Dr.Kids with autism first of all have big problems with their licking gut which after all creating all their issues with behavior, speech, etc.
