I love love love how everyone with autism is so different. Some would be terrified and freaking out from the plants touching them and bugs etc being to much sensory some are like y’all’s little girl who love to be in the middle of it all. It’s beautiful and truly reminds us that no matter how similar some may seem we all have differences still. ❤

Very well put. Such a difference between the sensory seekers and avoiders. She wants all the input from things most of the time. She loves to be stimming all throughout her day with vocal, visual and tactile mostly. You’re so right, plenty of similarities but diverse too. It’s a lovely thing ❤️

I love it to. Even tho im the first one. For me its less a problem with the plants and more the twrror of some kf the bugs in the plants and id just be freaked out. Especiallyyyy if its a spood. I will. Lose. It. At the sight of them xD ahahaha Otherwise id prolly be okay with plants. Being around me way more. Sadly bugs and plants go hand in hand and thwres no full guarantee unless uve got a fully sealed ecosystem thing :p I used to be better abt it as a kid. Tho id mostly dig in the yard or soil. The more indoors i got tho the more it freaked me out. So now its a toss up. I love it but im always on the lookout. Mainly for stinging bugs or spoods

@@aidenflame1576I'm also an arachnophobe, and something that has helped me is to "play fetch" with spiders while earthing (walking around my property barefoot). I grew up in the country on a homestead in a neighborhood full of other homesteads so we all traded and ran around each other's properties and fished in each other's ponds, rode each other's horses and dirt bikes, played all together with all 20 of the neighborhood dogs running around with us playing together. It was quite idyllic and I realize how INCREDIBLY FORTUNATE I am to have grown up that way. Back to spiders lol. I will take a piece of paper outside with me and make tiny little balls, the size of a pencil eraser or smaller. I find a daddy long legs in a web (not opilliones- those spiders (they aren't actually spiders, they're arachnids bc they have 8 legs, but they don't have any silk and aren't venemous, they're called Harvestmen) you see crazy people grabbing in clumps off of walls- NOPE!! But cellar spiders, the ones Americans call daddy long legs like you would find in the corners of your walls in or outside around your house, basement, garage, cellar or sheds. They're completely harmless to humans. So I take the lil paper balls, gently toss one onto the web, and watch the spider come remove it. It was HORRIFYING at first, but after a while it was kind of fun to watch. I recently made friends with a Western Spotted Orb Weaver I named Charlotte after Charlotte's Web (I always thought Charlotte was a black widow, but I looked it up the other day and it turns out she's a barn spider, a type of orb weaver!! So I thought the name was perfect lol. She has since moved on and I haven't found her yet. But the other night I was HELLA sleepy going to my Moms house, and I wasn't paying attention, the outside light was off, and when I walked up the walkway and went to step up onto the porch... I RAN FACE EFFING FIRST INTO A DIFFERENT ORB WEAVERS WEB!! AND AS IF THAT ALONE ISN'T ENOUGH TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK, THE SPIDER WAS SMACK IN THE CENTER OF HER WEB AND I RAN INTO HER WITH MY F**KING FACE!! I swear to God my soul left my body. I was screaming and crying INSTANTLY ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL lol. I called my Mom inside the house bc I was too scared to move and when I tell you I was GLUED to that screen door like I was hanging off a cliff I mean it lmao. LIKE MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. I was still like I was an inch away from a T. Rex in Jurassic Park. I will NEVER be the same lol. Pray for me lol.

My family had Jerusalem Artichokes growing near our house when I was a kid. They look a bit like sunflowers but the flower is a bit smaller, and they can get pretty tall. Some years they were taller than we were! In the autumn the stalks dried out and got stiff, and made the BEST swooshing noise. My siblings and I would all go outside to 'sword fight' which was really just all of us swooshing our sticka at each other without even being close enough to make contact, or spinning in circles pretending we were helicopters until we fell down. I didn't know then that it was such a big stimming thing for me since I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood, but it was just a bit of fun whimsy to decompress after a long and overwhelming school day.
