I pray that my 2 autistic sons have this kind of positivity, joy, and kindness in their lives.

Real tears. It took a lot of courage for these kids to dance on a stage, in front of people with all eyes on them. They were awesome 🤗

I have Autism. The bright lights, loud noise and the amount of people is enough to overwhelm and be extremely difficult for a lot of people with Autism, including myself. These dancers did amazingly well and set the bar high.

And a big shout out to all of their parents who support them as a group as well as individuals who worked very hard to make that happen!! And cannot forget their instructor. ✓

These dancers are amazing, they are young people and full of talent. Autism doesn't make someone stupid or incapable, Autism is a different way of seeing the world, and can bring tremendous talent. We all have our difficulties and differences, but these young people have embraced them and prove that no matter our differences we can all do amazing things. Don't feel sorry for us or underestimate us because of our Autism, accept us and see the potential, our talent, our strengths and the fact that we are human just like everyone else. Some of the greatest people in history are autistic, but history doesn't just remember them for their Autism and feel sorry for them, history has remembered their achievements and triumphs, and that is how we should remember these dancers and everyone else with Autism. We are more than a diagnosis and we can do great things.

even to say ''autism doesn't make someone stupid ...'' have never heard even such a stupid comment.

@@katjaxxx7353 A lot of people hear "Autistic" and assume things. One second you're spoken to like a "normal" adult, and then talked to like a child the next when they know. When I was attempting to get my son assessed, my sister in law's comment on my then 4 year old son was, "He seems really smart, though." Yes, he is. He reads and writes at a High School level. Does math at a 4th grade level, and he's only 6. I'm autistic, as well, and told someone. I was told, "You don't look autistic." Autism doesn't have a "look". -Annie

Actually Katja xxx I'm autistic so only I can say things about autistic people that are accurate. When it comes to IQ it usually doesn't affect people if they don't have a learning difficulty but if you don't like me you face your own learning challenges just like everyone else. But some people on the spectrum might be stupid jerks like my brother cus he's the natural brother jerk so just shut up and let me do this

And this is why i love dance. It csn be great for autism as it gives them something to concentrate on and a way to express themselves without using words which can be very difficult. You could just see how much it ment to all of them and the teacher and the parents. It was beautiful. Oh and Thunderstruck well i was not expecring that but it was soo good.
