He was very loving and my wife and I miss him dearly. He was not able to talk, walk on his own, or interact with others very much. But, we enjoyed him immensely and considered it a privilege to have had him in our home. My heart goes out to the mother and rest of the family for loving and caring for him. I woke up this morning upset with life, stressed about bills and situations that have affected me during this rough time that we all are going through right now and somehow this video was in my feed and God called me to watch this. Im so happy that I did. This made me realize how much I as well as many of us take for granted, and Idk the last time where I genuinely smiled or felt the joy that Andrew showed in this video. It sucks but it tells me that I have a lot of inner work to do because no matter what goes on in life, I'm still here, able-bodied, healthy, and blessed. Good in this sense transcends dance complexity. This isnt just about dancing, codings not just about 0s and 1s, talking isnt just about intelligence. Ya see humans are interesting creatures, we have a prefrontal cortex that orders priorities, and for the average person we do not only care about 1 thing, we care about many. And truly i tell you there is something to be gained for everyone by putting love as the top priority. That is whats really "good"
@hello-vs4dc5 жыл бұрын
Did he win? This video didn’t even say whether he made it any further in the competition. Not that he wasn’t already a winner in people’s hearts after this performance ... I am in awe of his courage because at 50, I’m still terrified of talking in front of a group, etc. And it was truly heartwarming to see how much he loves dancing, and how the audience responded to his exuberance and joy!

Rubee - you need to remember that dancing doesn’t come natural or easy to someone like him. That’s why it’s so amazing that he was as good as he was. Just because he isn’t as ‘flexible’ as the other contestants doesn’t mean he isn’t as good. He’s amazing in his own way, he’s in a league of his own.

I do not usually watch these things. And when I do, I very seldom comment. That said.... It is exceptionally special when a "special needs" or "disabled" contestant comes to the front to reach for the stars. Whether it is the "Lost Voice Guy" or an amputee dancer or, as in this case, the "Extra Chromosome Kid", they are ALL inspiring. Especially when we recall that it wasn't that long ago when we simply locked these people away behind bleak walls as if they were animals. Win or lose, I say Well done young man. Well done indeed.
