This is so important! I had a relative tell me that autism "levels" could be "amplified" by sugar so I should just cut it out of my diet and when I explained to them that autism isn't a negative thing but its also not a more or less thing and it affects every aspect of my life and identity they stopped really trying to talk to me. It was really frustrating! And around the same time I had a friend tell me that I didn't experience empathy and was just projecting my feelings on others even though I have them sources on what hyperempathy is! I remember at one point the ableism in my life had me sobbing myself to sleep bc it was just so overwhelming how much people were commuted to misunderstanding me. So I really understand this and can relate a lot to the points in this video!

Yes! The noise! My reading level was always fine, I passed the comprehension tests on the computer, but I couldn't read an actual book unless it was perfectly quiet.
