All the silly Alfa jokes aside, I had a 2009 159 ti. Ran it for 3 years and covered 135 thousand miles and not 1 thing went wrong with it. Most reliable car I've ever had.

Yes the 3.0. Have had it in the trade. The 2.2 is also a dreadful GM engine from Vectra era told. Obviously engine cover and marketed JTS. A bag of s&&t

As you're probably now aware, all of the V6 cars were 4WD in the UK. But the Brera got criticised so much for its heavy weight and vague handling that they ditched it entirely for the facelift cars from MY58 onwards. A bit of a shame really as the car is a GT cruiser not a hot hatch.

Pretty sure Alfa droplinks are supposed to spin and have an Allen key socket in the end of the bolt then put a spanner on the nut, the Allen key stops the bolt spinning. You need to use this to torque them up when using a spanner.

I mean... Alex bought an Alfa from scrapyard. That is some bravery... or stupidity :D You guys should check the whole car for loosened bolts. Because someone needs some parts they just put back in and didn't even bothered to tight tings. Timing chain is certainly stretched but I thing it will run because there is no rattling to hear jet.

This Brera should have the F20 box which is the decent one, the M32 is shite, i have the lovely 1750 Tbi engine in my 159 but the shitty M32 box, getting it rebuilt but apparently even then they are not that great.
