Thank you, I really appreciate your video. I suggest to preserve the "natural" delay occuring with the distant mic, it helps for the depth of the drumkit sound. For that, just click to the "next" arrow to be closer to the zero. Also, a little alignment between kick & snare could help. Thanks to this tool !

Thank you for the video, I am gonna try this method! Wouldn't you achieve a good result if you picked a reference mic, say one of the overheads and align every other one to it? I noticed many people seem to be using this plugin that way, curious to try the difference

If one replaces the recorded kick, snare and toms tracks with samples, is Auto Align still needed on these tracks? Or, in this scenario, is it just to be put on OH and Room tracks? Cheers!

so if i want my top and bottom tom mics to be in phase with eachother AND my overhead I just assign the 2 tom mics to the overhead?

Just to add my opinion...The purpose of a distant mic is not about the delay but about the sound on that particular spot (less direct sound,more reflections)Slap delay/comb filtering doesn't really helps the drum sound IMO so it's worth to check it's phase too.Auto Align gives you multiple delay/phase options after the analysis where the phase matches less or more.Just switch the display from phase to delay view and use left-right arrrows to jump from different phase/delay matches.It also helps if a distant mic is the same distance from kick and snare so when aligned it matches both instruments.Cheers
