The door I recommend to my friends is the Hen Hut Automatic door. It uses high quality materials, simple, reliable, and only 65 dollars. I bought 2 for my coops and have had zero problems even through a pretty harsh winter. Farmlite is decent but I'd definetly recommend the Hen Hut to people wanting an affordable and reliable door.

I would agree when it comes to price. I would like to say that I did not buy this “new” it was from Facebook Marketplace and I got it for a steal ($10). I was however very impressed with the quality and legibility of the instructions- even someone who is not “handy” could work with this equipment. I still have never had any issues. The door is working great, but I would recommend you fastening the cables for the solar panel really well. Chickens try to destroy everything. Haha

I own this and it killed a chicken. This product has the absolute worst programming instructions ever. The first four modes are self explanatory, but mods 5-8 don't make sense. Mode 5 is says that is to turn the timer on or off, yet you set the opening and closing times for steps 2 and 3. Then mode 6 says that it turns on or off the light control, yet mode 7 says the EXACT same thing. Also, if I have the light sensor turned on and the timer turned on, does one take precedence? I still don't understand what happened exactly, but we went out in the morning and found a dead chicken laying in the doorway with a clearly broken neck..so yeah would not recommend this brand. It seems that this exact same door is mass produced with different company names. Mine says Huabor on the top, and instruction booklet is different from the one you show in the video, however the door and control panels and features are EXACTLY the same.

So it’s the exact same door but not the farmlite name? Sounds like you purchased a cheap Chinese knock off.

@rexsmith5984 yes. I said exactly that in my post. It seems to be mass produced and has different company names. Chinese knockoff probably. I purchased it on Amazon and it was listed as Farmlite. The door itself feels like decent quality, but the instructions were terrible. I had to do a ton of trial and error to figure out the programming.
