Great video. Well explained. I'd love to see a follow up video on how they have held up! Do you have any idea how this size vs larger pots perform? If you placed them in ground, how far apart could you go and still be effective? I would think with constant water source smaller would be ok as opposed to some one hand filling pots. This would have to be a great thing for the drought areas of CA, and desert type areas. Glad I found your vids. Subscribed.

great demo! Harbor Frieght has a step drill bit for metal, very cheap with less chance of the bit catching

Very very nice. What do you think of putting the main line over the bags so in case there is a leak any water that escapes goes to the plants and not the ground?

how much higher does the main container that feeds the smaller ollas need to be for enough pressure to feed. I want to fill it up once per week - even go 9-10 days when I'm gone.

I had it up about 15 inches I think? There is lots of pressure for the small lines...you just need a large barrel or many barrels linked together at bottom with hoses/fittings. See other YT videos about rainwater storage with barrels.

Sure, you could do that. I needed the line really low because my water tank was not up higher. It was just a quick demo video to get the concept out to a wider audience. I can't wait to be able to set up a larger system somewhere. Maybe you want to set one up for YT ;)

Ok maybe I missed something . How once you have the system set up How do you get the water in there in the first place then. You have to displace the air ,is it the pressure from water tank that eventually fills?

+Repairguy 2 Yes, the pressure from the tank pushes the air right through the terra cotta no problem!
