I have an 87 M535i in auto they are one of the best BMW cars in auto, I had a complete manual kit (for a true RHD hard to get) in my shed for years then sold it. I know guys that own more than one a more often than not if they sell one it will always be the manual and keep the auto. They go surprisingly well ind if you want a bit more get up and go just chuck it in sport. Don't get me wrong I drive manuals all day but they are a cool little auto.
