The wood that is used as the crusher should have an inward curve so that it holds the tire and distributes the weight evenly instead of at an angle. William Osman seems like time is the only recourse we all lack of. More to the point, instead of plain guitar you can actually build a kalimba (just little metal plates under tension instead of strings which are hard to keep at constant tension), but that's easy mode. I could potentially send you some of my earlier designs (which are crap and done in ketchup). Also a glockenspiel is a good instrument to make but the problem is that it relies on metal plates that are mounted in two points and you need to calculate the frequency of metal plate between these two points (which i did in solidworks but it heavily relies on metal strength and how soft it is, softer metals tend to lose sustain pretty fast). Duh, my brain is melting.
