www.autotrainin... -- ATI provides automotive service advisor coaching to thousands of service writers and service advisors every week. Selling automotive repair service is more than just diagnosing a problem and writing up a ticket. Service advisors can make or break an auto repair shop's profitability. As George Zeeks, Coach and Team Leader at Automotive Training Institute (ATI) explains in this video, there are four parts to every auto service sale: Value, Need, Relationship, and Urgency. When you skip a step, you put the sale at risk. You'll also find us on Facebook ( / automotivetraininginst... ) and Google+ (plus.google.co...)

I'll have my owner see this video, he keeps telling me to keep it short and simple. Sometimes I can, sometimes I can't. Thanks George!

After being a tech for 8 years I was recently promoted to a service advisor position in a well established dealership. It's been two weeks and I already have so much more respect for S.A.'s. Appreciate the free knowledge, I'll be watching more for sure.

Don't get TOO TECHNICAL with the customer (trying to impress w/ knowledge) you tend to lose them, preach VALUE, BENEFITS, SAFETY, THOROUGHNESS.

Good video on the 4 parts of a sale. All of the service advisers at G&C Tire and Auto Service are making this part of the weekly training program. We watch the videos individual and then discuss them in the shop meeting. Keep the videos coming George!

Maybe another minute to tell the value of the process, and putting the close through phases to get to the yes answer...a bit short but all real stuff that works in practice with other techniques

Too bad I can’t put that advice to work cause the techs at my work will just tell me I’m wasting their time if I ask them to test drive it
