These videos are SOOOO good! Awesome! I can't believe a car manufacturer is teaching me more than my high school teachers ever would haha

Your teachers taught you valuable other lessons in life that aren’t given any credit, like group psychology & individuality desensitization. The majority of them did the best with what they had to work with in a politically motivated, unbalanced, antiquated education system. You were a horrible child, who probably acted out for attention & caused problems for your teachers & the school staff.

A good, beautiful video. However, there is a small mistake - the wheels of the Torque converter are rotating in one direction, not in different directions - 3:00. And in the narration, there are many inaccuracies and omissions that can lead an uninformed person to misunderstand its operation completely. I apologize for being nitpicky:)

Hello Toyota! I was wondering if you could settle an argument and explain the 'S' and 'M' modes featured on your transmissions stand for and if they are the same thing.
@toyotausa2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Larry! The S and M modes stand for Sport and Manual for the different settings for transmission shifting.

Why high rpm will stop the engine?
@taherisahab5 ай бұрын
Good question
@rumabisht2054Ай бұрын
Because the calculation of the torque and horsepower is not exactly proportional meaning, if the torque is higher, with higher RPM, the horsepower won’t increase and at a point of torque/RPM being high (or low) horsepower will start to slow down

"simulated gear ratios" is the stupidest thing in the history of drive train technology, Literally no one Toyota: look at the amazing efficiency and flexibility of the cvt Customer: but it doesn't "feel" like a normal transmission Toyota: guess we'll knee cap it then
@sammy5576 Жыл бұрын
You go to all the effort of making a CVT just to F it up in software and make it function like a regular gear box with fixed ratios
