if we ever get out to Australia to do the same thing we’ll Definately go big!!! As Paul Rand advises, “If you can’t make it good, Make it BIG, if you can’t make it big, Make it RED...”

Thanks Steve ,brought back nice memories for me.you can imagine how impressive we looked towing a pug 206 as well,with the registration plate BIG!!(Irish plate) Can't beat that big 3ltr multi jet ,purrs like a big cat,we used to leave many standing at the lights even fully loaded,the sheer power . We too had step issues ,fuses more so when raining !!,but caution please on the massave wind out awning , takes the wind like a sail boat. Supporting it with a broom just in the middle when winding in x out just takes the strain,our model was electric wind out., So enjoying what you send me Steve, I can never be sad at what I have lost as I have my daily fix of seeing my husbands reincarnation in you .best wishes all ❤👍

LOL, brilliant comment Kev. We’ll have to stop more often for fuel :( average 22MPG rather than the overall 27MPG on Jasmin Mya... :/

Now that you’ve had her a little while, would you say that you favour the Comanche? Seems a lot more space for all of you. Looks lovely. Hope you have many happy times in her. Cheers, Dave

Yes, we do prefer the Comanche, super layout and more comfortable. :)

Hi Steve and Wendy, congratulations on your exchanged van. Can I recommend that you purchase 'Mirrorguards' at £110 that we can most highly recommend to safeguard your mirrors in the event of a collision with say, an oncoming vehicle. We suffered such an incident last July on the A31 Dorset when a commercial vehicle hit our motorhome offside mirror knocking out the glass that was left dangling by it's wiring. Whereby the offending van lost it's mirror, we were able to refit the mirror glass back to give us a viable mirror for the rest of the homeward journey. Ok these guards are double the price of your originals and certainly give a visual warning to oncoming traffic, but would not have withstood the impact at a speed of 40mph. Regards
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Bloody Good Idea Colin :) - Those Milenco Mirror Guards are flimsy and don’t have the nice finish to them that the other ones have. Another £110 🤷♂️😔

Looks great Steve and love the size went to see one a few weeks ago I remember you said at the time you liked the Comanche it’s a great size and hopefully easier to live with with the space, hope you got a good deal and it didn’t cost you any extra can you swap your air conditioner over or not ? Anyhow we hope you will have new memories in Comanche
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
LOL - “Looks great Steve and love the size”; now where have I heard that before? - Seriously though, I think if we could have found a Comanche in our price range at the time we would have gone for it. When we were looking we just could not find one on the 2nd hand market. New was of course our of our reach. The deal was OK, JUST... as for the AirCon I would not trust the workshop at Travelworld to actually get it right so I’m not having in moved over. We’ll shell out for a new one when we need / want it. I’m gonna have to start “e-begging” soon if we keep spending like this 🤷♂️😱🤔 LOL

Hi Steve and Wendy. Very smart looking van, I have always fancied a tag axle van myself. We like to tour Europe in our 7.5 metre Swift van and have sometimes got into some tight spots - I wonder how you will get on with the extra long Commanche. Looking forward to hearing about your travels, and what name you have chosen for the new van. Paul
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Yes that’s exactly what I’m wondering. Getting into tight spots is my constant nightmare :( We have nearly chosen a new name and will be announcing it very soon...

Hi guys a few questions is it an automatic also is that a towbar I see also could you show backing the van out of the pitch cheers Oliver
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Hey Oliver, It’s a 6 speed Manual gearbox on the 3 litre 180 BHP Multijet Ducato Engine. Yes it is a Towbar :) - The “swan-neck” lives under the drivers seat ready fro when it’s needed :) We will certainly show the “getting it our of the pitch” later this week. Cheers
@CaravanningwiththeCoxs7 жыл бұрын
The Happy Travellers thanks for the reply would you consider getting a small car and towing it behind the vsn
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Our preference is no car or towing but we will continually review the situation. If we do go for that we’ll be getting a very small trailer and maybe a Smart Car or something similarly small :)

Hey Steve and Wendy, I’m binge watching your yideos and really enjoying seeing them. Just wondering if this was shot with your new camera as it seems very crisp 👌. Love the new van btw 😎😊
@TheHappyTravellers5 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, glad you are enjoying the vlogs. Back when that was shot it would have been a Panasonic LUMIX G7. These days we use a LUMIX G90. Not much difference just a better kit lens and far better stabilisation easier to access controls too.
@timharrison35215 жыл бұрын
Ahh yes an uograde😊. I keep forgetting I’m speaking to future Steve😂. I’d just watched your unboxing of the G80 and thought I’d noticed the difference in quality😎. Keep it up you two ( and pippin of course 😉)
@TheHappyTravellers5 жыл бұрын
@@timharrison3521 The G80 mic input socket failed and so went back to Amazon for a refund. Never got around to buying another one until the G7 failed completely. By then the G90 was available :)

How are you getting on manoeuvring Comanche in and out of your site park. As I recall, it was a tight squeeze with Jasmin? I do feel sorry for the potential future purchasers of Jasmin if travel world don’t sort out your snag list properly. Looking forward to a full interior tour.
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
The new Full Time Warden used to be a Bus Driver so has been helping me with manoeuvring instruction which has been invaluable.
@keithdavies517 жыл бұрын
As you have had the benefit of receiving guidance on manoeuvring techniques, are you able to video or pass on any of the advice that you have received from your new site manager?

@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Hi David, We like to meet that an open secret. If you watch enough of our vlogs you’ll be able to work it out... Suffice to say that we are 11 miles from the M6, near to Chester and within walking distance of Delamere Forest. PS it’s NOT the Delamere site :)

Swapped a 17 plate Hymer for a 2 year old autotrail? Steve please tell us what is going on here? Why? This is a massive downgrade this is so unfortunate.
@TheHappyTravellers7 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris, yes it seams like a downgrade but if you’ve been watching our journey since we bought Jasmin you’ll know how shabbily we have been treated by Travelworld. All the issues with Jasmin Mya would have never been right. When comparing the two motorhomes in detail they are very similar in terms of specification although the Autotrail has the advantage of more space, external shower, satellite TV, leather upholstery, Island Bed, Electric hob in the cooker, built in microwave. The list goes on. When I look at the disadvantages there are not many... Thanks for your comments :)
