I am so happy to see you finally got the opportunity to experience the chair in the bedroom. Wise choice in getting room A as we try to do the same. Marie started crying when you gave us a shoutout to our channel. We definitely feel a deep connection with you. By the way my favorite view from the window is the cars on 95 as we are sitting relaxed in our seats. Marie’s favorite view is the victorian homes along the way. So glad you got a shirt!

Hi Marie and Leo I just booked another vaca so was watching some auto train videos again to get excited lol and I heard them give you a shout out Was this a family room or bedroom ? I could not see where the bathroom was and I have to have my own bathroom I will be on the same train 5241 and would of loved to be on the end So curios did you have the bathroom /shower in your room ? And yes it’s expensive to be in a bedroom with your own bathroom but I won’t do it any other way. So I book it and keep watch for price drops on my dates and just call them and they reimburse the difference and definitely get priority for your car it’s worth it

@@Boston1girl Monarch Miracles in this video stayed in the bedroom. We have stayed in the family room which does NOT have a bathroom in the room but does have 4 shared bathrooms in the hallway as well as a shower on the lower level with some smaller roommates The family room is a larger room which takes up the entire space on the lower level in the back of the train car. Have a great time.

I’m in K but would like to be at the end I have 2 vaca all set on the auto train one coming up soon and the other in November I still want to do Smokey mountains but I also want to try the villages life style visit ( dogs are allowed ) I love your channel you guys seem so nice !

Our family would love to take a trip like this! It’s super expensive for us to go anywhere by train, but we’ll do it anyway someday.

You can only get the Autotrain in Lorton or Sanford but I would bet a regular Amtrak would be just as cool. The only difference would be more stops. The Autotrain only stops once to swap out the engineer. Thanks for watching.

Sounds like you need to make a reservation for dinner? What about breakfast? Are meals included with the fare? Thx!

Thank you for watching. When you check in they ask you what time you would lime to eat dinner. They have up to three different times Usually 5,7, and 8. Then for breakfast, it starts at 6 AM and goes till 9 and you do not need reservations for breakfast. Dinner and breakfast are included in your cost. They also have a longer car with a snack booth if you would like to purchase something from them. Open till 11 PM and again I think that opens at 6 AM.

When you leave the station your train is proceeding under a yellow signal till it gets out on the main line then it gets a green signal

I assume that long seat folds down for a bed? How long were you on the train? Dan and I always wanted to take the auto train. I heard it's pretty expensive.

The long seat folds into a bed and there is also a top bunk that folds down. We don't use it as I am comfortable on the floor. The trip is about 17 Hrs. A bedroom is costly but very worth it. When you consider driving, hotel, meals, ext, its not that bad. We LOVE it! Thanks for watching.
