Great video! Any insights on how safe this device is in hot summers ? I'm a bit concerned about the lithium ion battery catching fire in extreme temperatures ?

Ah good question, while I have not experienced issues with it, the system is rated up to 149°F However like all lithium batteries, I think subjecting the battery to extended periods of extreme heat will degrade it (if mine ever develops a heat induced issue, I will update this comment for you) And I have more Backup Cameras reviews on my channel in the playlist "Backup Cameras Reviews" including some that do not have a built in battery, if you like to compare them. I bought this unit but don't want to have the cable running to my cigarette lighter inside the cabin of my 2003 mercedes 240C. is there a way of wiring it to a switched fuse to power the unit only when the car is running? I already tried cuting the lighter adapter off and runing it to a fuse block inside the car but all the fuses had constant power and the

Hi Ricardo! No that I know of but what people usually do when they don't want to tie up the cigarette lighter port, is the have the screen hardwire to the vehicle. Hi Sean! This is a different product from the TW1 in the sense that the Solar1Pro is aimed at the entry level market for a wireless back up system.
