Hi would the camera work as a rear view mirror if I wired it to positive and not to the positive reversing light? Just think there would be a problem with the led lights at night being on all the time

Hi Ian! correct, if you want the camera to be on all the time it could be wired to the a source of power that is always one instead of the switched power on the reversing light. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

I bought a Auto-vox W10 from Amazon. I installed it and it failed to work. I diagnosed the problem using their manual. It indicates the monitor was bad. Auto-vox refused to warranty it because I bought it from Amazon. Amazon refused to take it back because I installed it after the 30 day window. I was sick with pneumonia.

Hi Shawn! Oh wow, I haven't experienced any issues returning product to Amazon within their return window. Surprised to hear Auto-Vox couldn't help either (assuming the product was bought new from their official Amazon store). That being said, I have more Backup Cameras reviews on my channel in the playlist "Backup Cameras Reviews" if you like to try a different one. I would also recommend professional installation (installers can sell you the product directly) if you want to bypass Amazon or the backup camera supplier. Cheers!

@@AlexAutoFun I have worked with Auto-vox and Amazon. Neither one would help. My wife bought the camera for me at Christmas, however I got sick with pneumonia and was on oxygen for almost 3 months, so I wasn't able to install it until now. I was very disappointed when niether one would help. No picture is coming through and the red light on the monitor is flashing. Auto-vox troubleshooting guide says the monitor is bad.

@whitesmw I'm really sorry to hear that, Shawn. I really hoped either one would have been able to help (Auto-Vox usually even extends warranty an additional 6 months on top of the 1yr warranty if you register the product). I'll try to reach out to Auto-Vox to inquire about their Amazon warranty policy (I would imagine warranty coverage would be the same as if it bought directly, again assuming it was bought new from their official Amazon store). Do you know exactly what Auto-vox said as the main reason for not being able to warranty your camera? Cheers!
