I found soldering the green wire to be a more secure connection. Use heat shrink tubing.

Hi Jean-Pierre! nice! The standard used in the industry for wire harnessing (IPC-620-A) defines both soldering and crimping / IDC to be equal when correctly done. However in a manufacturing environment some industries do prefer soldering over crimping (Military and Space applications love to ask for soldering over crimp) The key is that the solder or the crimp has to be correct, otherwise latent failures can develop later. Excellent video but can you tell me, if you change the shape of the guidelines, will it stay there or do you have to change again every time you restart the car.

Hi Alex, thanks for this video. I was always looking for 5" or above thinking 4.3" would be too small for viewing. But this seems good enough and the clarity is also good, would you agree?. In case I install this inside the windscreen at the back, will the white led reflect off the windscreen and create a glare at night? This is a generic question for all rear camera's that have IR/White LEDs. I think IR may not cause any glare, right? This VM1 seems easy to install. If you remember I asked earlier I prefer display that can be kept always on!

Hi Ivy's Melodies! Yeah I think it's big enough. Regarding mounting the camera on the inside, you will probably get glare from the window reflecting the light back on the camera lens (your assumption is correct, this would apply to all devices that use IR or normal LEDs for illumination) Hope this helps, Cheers!

I connected to green wire to the positive feed of my backup light, but the static backup lines still stay on. Anybody have any ideas.

Hi olheghtt! Here is my video showing how the cable is connected to the reversing tail of the car kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnmqqaqroa6Dm9U in case you want to see which wire I use to enable this function to come on and off. There may also be a setting on the display itself to turn off the static guidelines (when the green wire is connected, the static guidelines are replaced with the adjustable guidelines) if there is this option, try turning it off or on to see if that helps). Mine is junk. Goes into reverse mode, and even says watch when you back up on the screen but does not display any video.

Hi Wild Wild Wests! (cool screen name btw) that is strange, I would recommend having your installer double check the installation or you can also contact Veclesus for technical support I'm sure they can walk you thru some troubleshooting steps. Cheers!

@@AlexAutoFun not true, prove me wrong and submit a video. I'm big enough to admit I was wrong, if I was. The only registration there that works is the registration to become a member on the website. it has nothing to do with registering a product. All the registration website addresses including the QR code do the same thing they bring you to Google Play store where they want you to download the app Google messenger. Why do you want people to download Google Messenger what's in that for you, what's in that for anybody. Post a video show everybody how it's done I'm not the only person I've read the replies on Amazon about people trying to register saying it cannot be done or it's very difficult I haven't figured out how to do it and I've been trying for a couple of days now.

@@olheghtt Hi olheghht! oh wow that is crazy, I never registered mine but I would have definitely remember that issue if I ran into it while registering. Did you contact Veclesus about the registration issue? But I think you are right, that may make for an interesting video (and hopefully show if it works or not! LOL)
