Slot Car HO Racing Layout: Slot Cars in video: Chevrolet 2015 SS Auto World Super III vs. Dodge 2008 Charger Auto World Super III. The Chevy slot car is an Auto World Deluxe Pit kit that had to be painted and assembled. The assembly came out well; it was surprising the car ran well after being self-built, but the self-painting was not that great. So Far all the Auro World Deluxe Pit Kits that were built have worked well except one that had to donate its springs to other assemblies. The Dodge was bought as fully assembled so the Chevy would have a same type of car to race. The slot cars worked well with no glitches noted so far and were fun to run around the track, they stayed on the track very well going quite fast in speed on the tracks. They seem faster than AFX and Lifelike, AW Xtraction or T-Jets. They are wider and can get "stuck" as in sideswipe or crash in tight curves (especially the S curve), they mostly evaded each other at the squeeze track, 18 out of 20 lap passes at squeeze track (and mostly got through when the camera was elsewhere). These cars disabled each other several times at squeeze track and curves. The Super III cars seem to not have a good range of speeds on the Parma controllers, so they seem to have fast and stop as the range (sort of like Lifelike slot cars). Have to admit that our self built Chevy car did not win in terms of being disabled less or for laps. The Slot Car Track layout has been engineered to keep cars rolling. Track sections have jumper soldered wiring. Also feed wires go to several of these jumper wires. There is no dead track so the apparent stall or stops on curves may seem to be caused by the pickup shoe type (as with other cars). Video is not at all in order or continuous, with only one camera on tripod that was moved around to various view angles during the race and the clips were edited and intermingled. We will prefer AW T-Jets, Xtraction and 4 gear over the Super III type as the first impression for now.
