@@MattCSLnut There aren't many Mk1 or Mk2s out there that aren't rusty. I've just spent my weekend cutting out and repairing the rotten chassis rails on my Mk2, it was really bad.

Damb this guys, you should underseal your vehicles and check. Surface corrosion is one thing but ⏳👇⏳
@ibyfishhunter2 жыл бұрын
@@ricksallotment5923 The mx5 has issues in a few places where bad rust and corrosion is a really common. It's normally in the sill, wheel arches and in the case of the Mk2, the double skinned chassis rails. Unfortunately there aren't many examples out there that have avoided these completely unless they are impeccably looked after. Japan don't salt the roads, so I guess corrosion resistance back then wasn't a high priority during production. They seem to suffer badly on UK roads.

However Gareth is certainly providing a lot of comical quotes I.e. "that's a thing". My question is with the aviation industry taking a hit, will there be a chance for Alex to race the guys from his home in his MX5 whilst Gareth and/or Jack and Ethan use public transport to reach the finish line at the nurburgring? Keep up the great work Alex and team.
