Soul Valved X-Pipe - Porsche 991.2 - Install DIY, Sound and Road Test

In this video we're removing the Soul Performance X-Pipe and installing this VALVED X-Pipe on my Porsche 911 / 991.2 which has the factory Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). We're covering the Installation DIY, Factory vs. Valved Sound Test AND the X-Pipe vs. Valved Sound Test as well a Road Test. Enjoy!
The factory PSE is great, but it’s designed for the everyday driver and like many enthusiasts I want to dial the sound of my car up to 11, maybe even 12. I don’t just want to smirk or smile when I hit the gas, I want my eyes popping out of my head while I’m grinning from ear to ear. The way to do this is with a custom exhaust system. But not just any system, a Soul Performance system. Many ask the question "but what do I buy though?" - do you replace your mufflers, the cats or the headers? One, two or all three? This series of videos is intended to help you answer this question. We're testing out every combination imaginable - factory mufflers and cats with Soul headers, factory mufflers and headers with Soul cats, Soul mufflers with factory cats and headers... and several more!! I did just the Soul sport cats since I live really close to neighbors and leave super early. It gave a deeper sound and turbo spool without increasing the decibels (too much) but I would love the sport exhaust! Thanks for the video, nice work!

Thanks so much for the video series. I love being able to hear the exhaust systems back to back to back to get a genuine audio comparison. Going into this video I thought the Soul valved exhaust would be the clear winner but I was surprised to hear how good the stock exhaust sounded when the audio was played back to back. To me the Soul sounded good especially during the launch but I am not yet convinced it was $3,795 better then the stock exhaust, but I will hold my judgement until you replace the exhaust, CATS and headers so I can hear the entire Soul system working together. Again fantastic video.

I’ve got Souls 200cell cats, long tube street headers, and x-pipe on my 981 GT4. Quality fitment and finish on all the components are exemplary, and the car just howls throughout the rev range. Can’t recommend them enough for those looking to enhance the soundtrack and performance of their car (especially when paired with Dundon’s intake runners). Made a very noticeable difference

Great video to see the difference between PSE and Soul . My personal feeling is in favor of PSE for the sound and Soul for the beauty of the exhaust People might get a different opinion of course Great job. Have the same car in 4S, same lovely colour

I'm thinking cats and headers with PSE is gonna be the magic combo. both X pipes sound too similar and slightly less 'Porsche' than the OEM PSE. I had a couple of 987 3.4 Boxters one had the carnewal and the other had a valved spyder - both sounded utterly rude, loud, raw and added easy 20bhp 25bl ft. I think on the turbo motor there's not much to be gained. Loving the vids though.

I feel you'll be getting a deeper tone with the sport cats and guess I'll see in your next video. All the different parts from the headers out are great looking pieces and I think the X pipe with the upstream changes will howl.

The cats have made the biggest different so far. Both increased power and response as well as improvements to the sound. The noice the turbo spools make now is freaking awesome!
