I rode in a 70 Riviera back in 1970 fully loaded. It was amazing car when it was new. When I turned 16 in 1979 I bought one . Till this day I miss that car. But this car has a lot of miles. Needs some TLC.

Sold at Mecum Indy for 15,400. I think that is a reasonable buy.

I had a 70 Riv GS with bucket seats back in 1976. Tan with brown top and interior. GS package is rare and included the 370HP 455 with a 342 POSI rear, HD springs. The bucket seats were an option on top of the GS package. Your missing the GS badge on the trunk lid by the Riviera badge. Not all Rivs had that. Also side moulding should be body colorl. I painted mine dk brown which set of the car better. I used to beat all kinds of cars in drag races. It was a boat but very fast. looks great in Black, a rare color.

As long as you know the white required, white is the easiest color to match.

The 1970 Riviera GS and non GS could be had with buckets and console or without. That is not a determining factor. The GS for the 1970 Rivera got you 3:42 rear gears, stiffer shock and springs and because of the gearing, the A/C clutch had a larger diameter. The air cleaner lid would be chromed. It is very tempting for a seller with a RIviera with bucket seats and console to add GS emblems. Because many people thing the bucket seats and console was exclusive to the GS and that all GS Rivieras had them. The interior on a GS could be the lowest level to the highest level. Same goes for non GS Rivieras.

The air cleaner lid would be chrome but you can tell it's a aftermarket version, as well as the base opening of the air cleaner where air sucks in will be a larger opening and have white letters on the side. This has the standard base air cleaner. Also will have posi rear end. This was a poor attempt to making it look like a GS.
