Those were great movies, classics of the era. The dog is a nice touch.

I saw both movies at a drive in double feature in the early 80's and was instantly hooked. Nothing else like them at that time. They still hold up really well all these years later.

Very nice... Aussie translation for your reference.. hood = bonnet, trunk = boot, fender = guard. Don’t know why..

Likewise for the British which is probably where it came from. The Aussies love their cars for sure.

I have all 3 three of these and the 4 door yellow MFP version I actually have 2 of the Road Warrior AA versions one to weather as you are going to do. I have the decal set but nervous to put them on crooked lol.

Make a mix of dish soap and water and use a que tip to dab it on the spot where you are going to put the decal on. That way you can apply it and have some time to move it around. Once in place, press a paper towel on it and it will set up after a few minutes and your done.

Love the Mad Max movies and I too have the AutoArt Tuned and the Road Warrior one but I have the Signature edition withe the metal supercharger, removable front clip but no dog and no Dinky-Di cans and box. It has a shotgun though. Would love to have it lit as well as the Tuned one. Would love a separate channel for MM models. Love your channel. BTW I added the decals for the Tuned version.

Cool, These AutoArt cars are amazing models. It seems finally that more attention is being paid to the MM movies and I'm hoping for more stuff to become available.

Great video Boyd...but as an Aussie I cringed every time you said “Dinky Dee”. It’s pronounced “Dinky Die”...it’s one of the true bits of Aussie slang...in this case it means "loyal". And with you being such a "true blue" Mad Max fan...that’s a detail you need to get right...😂 BTW This was a very cheap Australian dog food back in the early 80's and I remember feeding this dog food to my own dog...it was terrible smelling and she totally hated it...🤣

Hah, nice to know and I'll remember.

No worries at all...Aussie slang doesn't make sense even to us Aussies sometimes...lol

I also have the Greenlight car. I noticed that the engine block w/blower is too high. Still, I'm happy with it. I also have an almost scratch built from The Road Warrior. Unfortunately, I don't have pics at the moment. This is by far my favorite car. Oh, if I could get a real one... 😌

For the money, the Greenlight version is not bad at all.

Hey mate, would you know where i might be able to find spare parts for the millennial version? Missing the headlight covers on mine!
@tsarbomba13 жыл бұрын
Boyd I read somewhere that AutoArt either didn't want to pay or couldn't get official licensing on their cars so that's why there were no side decals or plate on them. Would like to know where you're getting your decals since I have the tuner version.
@TrekWorks3 жыл бұрын
I found them on ebay. The guy is in Australia so it will take awhile to get a set if you order from him but they look great. I've seen them on some other cars on you tube.

I'd personally not say to modify the autoart road warrior, since I'm pretty sure it's rare/limited
@TrekWorks3 жыл бұрын
I agree that if you are strictly collecting for the value it's not a good idea to modify anything. In my case I never plan on parting with it and this is the Millennium version and it's not rare, there are about 20 of them on ebay currently. I already have the pristine "tuned" version so I wanted to make this one look like it should in MM 2.
