I owned a 1967 Camaro. It had a 327 and was fast for it's time. Interesting that if you compare today's V6 Camaros you'll find the 67 Sport Coupe with the 327 V8 had 275HP while today's V6 has 335 HP and better handling. If I bought one today, I would buy the V6 for the looks, fuel economy but still have a fast car. Not the fastest. Not a Racer, but still fast enough.

Get him a 2002-2006 Honda crv, they are reliable, affordable, the engine is chain driven and one of the best engines Honda ever produced, they are AWD and most of all one of the safest cars and he can easily learn how to work on it if needed

Hello Randy. The Dodge Challenger is a good looking car even though it's got damage to the passenger side door. The 2013 BMW 640i is a good looking car even though it's got front end damage.

I'm one of those rare people who would probably get a V-6 Challenge over a Hemi. A 3.6 is fully capable of getting me anywhere I go as fast as I need to. A Hellcat would probably have me in way too much trouble in about 3.6 seconds. I'd spend the money on a nicer interior though, get it in any color but Hertz white and forgo the d-bag stickers.

A nice example W203 Mercedes would be great for Nick. Compact size, solid build, good safety and decent power. I had a 2006 C280 4MATIC and it was great in all weather including snow (I know you're in OK but in case he road trips the car in winter). Wrote it off completely when I crashed into a ditch in 2016 but walked away from the crash without much injury. Great car overall.

Hi Randy. I’d say you’re definitely the right guy to take care of Dodge Dart issues, you have a lot of knowledge about them however I’d also suggest considering Mazda 3s or Miatas for Nick, or maybe even an older but nice pickup truck that. The Darts are cool but the others I’ve mentioned I think would just be less problematic.

Randy, it's your family, but if it was me, I'd get him something thats got the best crash test safety rating as possible. New, young drivers have high insurance rates for a reason. Looking cool in your first car isn't as important as being alive if you're dead after an accident. Not looking cool is temporary, looking cool and dying is permanent.

I always think regular cab swb truck like s10 Colorado or Ranger for a young buck. Can't be distracted by a bunch of people in the car while driving. I agree, a Challenger cries out for a V8 , but have you driven a Pentastar Challenger/Charger? They're no slouch, more HP than a Fox body Mustang, just don't pretend it's more than it is.. Where they lack is in the torque numbers. Had one as a rental and it was fun.

Randy that BMW is a easy fix, after you take off the hood and straighten it back yourself as well as you save and redo that same bumper and quarter panel yourself and save money by taking it off, lining it back up on the inside using some type of plastic harder sand down the front and bondo it off can spray primer, paint clear coat, ceramic coating and done those lights are still intact and everything works should make a quick flip.

Yes, Dodge Dart but no turbo. Get with 2.4 liter with a 6-speed auto OD because I have it and it is reliable I have 357,000 miles and I keep up with the maintenance and oil change every 5,000. Miles and always replace it with OEM

So for the Dodge Dart. Don't look at the 2.0. Those have transmission, steering, and braking issues. The version that you want to get is either the 1.4 turbo or the 2.4. They come in: base, areo, gt, sxt, and limited.

Everyone has their own opinion, so I ain’t knocking yours down, but man I wouldn’t make fun of nor make assumptions based on a sticker, that’s jus me tho, again I respect that everyone has their own opinions. I myself prefer the v8 challenger over the v6 , same with the chargers as well, but for the certified white boy sticker I myself don’t understand it, but for the other sticker it could jus be there and the car may not have been raced, or they may have raced it we will never know.
