My two cents: I don't believe that pipe stubbing outside the kitchen sink is a cleanout, I suspect it's intended to be a vent. It appears that venting may be an issue with all the plumbing (Declaration, I'm not a plumber). The blockage is causing water to back up into the venting pipes. That electrical wire coming out of the meter base is not to code, it should be enclosed in a conduit to the panel inside. That pump sitting on the floor by the furnace is for the air conditioning unit, it pumps the water collected from the coil outside. Also, pull the air filter out of the furnace duct and buy a new one, a cheap maintenance item. Congrats on assembling the toilet without the tank leaking though, a nemesis of mine over the years.

Yep. Place a vent tube on portion outside of house and run it up to just past the roof or peak depending on location.

Yeah, vent. Shouldn't he have run the snake down it? If it was backing up into it, the clog was further down the pipe. If it was before the vent, he wouldn't have gotten any water there at all.

You can cut out the bad in the floor and patch it so it's not sticking higher then the original wood. cheap pine boards at lowes or home depot are cheaper then sheets of plywood.

Use Muriatic acid and that will clear the drains just be careful and make sure the area is well ventilated. I have been using it for years and does the best job Recommended to me years ago by an industrial plumber.

I’m not a plumber but that seems like a vent issue the vent pipe could be clogged and if it’s clogged it won’t allow air to break the vacuum seal so the water can flow down the drain I also don’t know if the house is hooked up to city sewer or a septic tank if it has a septic tank I would definitely get a septic cleaning done maybe run some rid X down the Toilet lol I’m not a professional I just going by what I have learned from my father loved the videos as always man

As far as the toilet goes pull it off get rid of the shims get a flange extension ring screw it on over toilet drain . You want the flange of the toilet to be higher then the floor about a 1/4 to 1/2 no higher . Then after installing new ring install a new wax seal with the anti leak collar on it . Not just a plain wax seal . Install toilet press down to squish wax seal fasten it down with the bolts careful not to crack bowl . Ad shims if toilet rocks from uneven floor if needed . Always install new steel braided water supply line at toilet .

Looks like drain pipes aren’t run to sewer line. Sometimes you need to rip up everything and start all over. I would use plywood for subfloor make it all even and carpet whole house or vinyl flooring.

Awesome job you two plumbers! You are the legit real-life Mario and Luigi! In the 90s I spent a weekend in my uncle's house - corner of 3rd Ave and 7th Street in Kleinmond South Africa. That place was haunted!!! And in the same shape as your uncle's house too. I thought it would be best if it got torn down. But 30 years later it's a much nicer house now with a green roof according to Google Street view.

the clean out might need a vented cap an the blocked up spot you in your own words "rammed through" might have been the one way check valve into the city sewage pipe. maybe idk but you'll know soon enough

Be sure that the vent pipe through the roof is not stopped up, squirrels are terrible about putting stuff in them. Snake it and then put a piece of hardware cloth over it.

The toilet hold down screws are probably stainless,,, the screws pull the bottom of the toilet and the sewer pipe flange tight together,, Construction adhesive keeps the toilet from moving around,, :-)

Very well done guys. The good thing it looks like much of the old drain pipes have been replaced with plastic. The old cast iron vent stack is connected to the toilet with what looks to be cast iron pipe. Some day that old cast iron may need to be replaced. Yes, get the floors in the house covered with a layer of tongue & groove 3/4" OSB. Without a new solid subfloor you will never be able to sell the house for much.

Some times the vent that comes out of the roof will get clogged then you have to go from there to clear it out then it shouldnt gurgle when you flush to toilet or drain the tub.
