The s600’s are not AMG. But sometimes owners will place amg parts like wheels on them. Shucks they do it on other models also.

The suspension is Airmatic and obviously one side doesn't seal as good as the other, but these are prone to loosing air over longer periods of being parked. Obviously the compressor works, so if you don't feel it's tiny vibration after every few minutes wit larger bumps, then it is good for now. If the compressor pumps air in the shocks frequently, it's a cheap rebuild on the airbag shocks, maybe a line, but it shouldn't be bad either way with regards to the Airmatic

thats wrong. S600 only came with ABC which is a suspension based on hydraulic fluid. no air.

The auto body control ABC is a common fault with these era Benz but they can be serviced. By the looks of it you got a bargain. These V12’s are bulletproof when regularly serviced & although it’s on AMG rims it’s not an AMG car. If you need performance parts Renntech manufactures some fantastic stuff.

I have a '97 w140 (actually a v140, "v" being lwb ones)...last of the over-engineered "bank vault" Benz b4 Lexus drained their revenue stream, so here we have the engineered-to-a-price-point to compete w/Lexus cost cutter era w220 S-class...they dialed back it's styling for more mass appeal to soccer mom's instead of the w140 for CEO's/mafia bosses, why the w220 looks more big-Camry than a baller. These got lost in the crowd when new.

@@KP-zi6jx my father gave me his Black w140 1997 44k miles lwb before he died, so I put the 18" MERCEDES ELTANIN WHEELS and had all the windows tinted. He was a business owner and always wore suits no matter where he was going. It was a proper Benz for a proper men. Now I see cheap S class Benz for a 18 year old year girl that barely knows how to drive.
