the fact that some people don't bring their battery packs for some reason (heavy, too packed up etc...) and when they see the car they want they want to see it starting, but Oh... some leave the ignition on and drained the battery... or even worse the car locked... truly hateful things that happend.

Not allowed unless you get special permission… Also, you really can’t track who left key in ignition, in the on position unless you’re able to check the keys out like they do in Portland Oregon.

That 2 door S Blazer was probably in great condition before it was wrecked. The Monte Carlo might be interesting. If you can bring an 80’s Citation back to life then you can bring a late 90’s Monte back .

If you can land that Monte Carlo for $200 or so it would be interesting to see if you hooked up the fuel system and just saw what happened. Likely worth spending nothing on it but tiny chance it works. Haven’t seen one in years would just be nice to see it clean and shiny

When I was a mechanic I seen 1 manual s10 blazer in my 5 years of wrenching. I got in it and went to start it… nothing. I look down and see a 5 speed… I didn’t even know it was a thing!

I had a black 1996 z34 Monte Carlo that I bought in 2009 for $500 had leather interior and all. The oil pressure sensor was an easy place to lose a lot of oil without knowing it. Timing belt was a pain in the ass on that car if I remember. My worst experience with it was the lower ball joint suddenly popping out when I was doing a Uturn and taking the fender with it. Miss that car

They did make 5-speed Blazers I believe until they stopped making them, at least in the 2-door. I'm pretty sure that all the Blazers had the 4.3. I have actually seen an Xtreme Blazer or 2 with a 5-speed which would be awesome to own.

Be careful on those Boxsters. I had bought a Boxter S probably the same year from Copart a few years back and got screwed. It looked perfect and sounded great, never overheated. Got it home and noticed the oil/water brew under the oil cap. Was going to be a engine out repair, sold it immediately with a loss. I was hoping you were going to check under the oil cap.

There is a vehicle just like that. That has a plaque on it that has dale The NASCAR driver that passed away in 2001. There's a addition of that same style of vehicle with his name on it that is worth a lot of d*** money. Don't matter if it's not running or not, it's worth a lot of money.

Years ago, I've read of a design flaw on the Boxter engines that made them go poof. I think it was a crankshaft bearing or something like that.

The Boxster would great for quick content, and the Monte has to be cheap....their are videos that cover timing belt replacement on the 3.4L still in the car. Get it running and have that Maaco throw on a new coat of red paint

I had a 2001 2 door 2wd Blazer with the 5 speed and the locker option. It was my first car and I learned to drive manual on it, I have a video of the glass pack exhaust on my channel. My dumbass traded it for an E36 Bmw 318i. 😭

Monte caralo sounds like it is a non interference engine with a broken timing belt when you are cranking it,,, some cylinders with the valves open and some cylinders with the valves closed,, I would say that you have even odds that a new belt will allow it to start,,, A good car for making video content,, I would like to see it running again,,, Hope you can get it real cheap,, :-)
