I knew this wouldn’t be a popular decision. Unfortunately, circumstances forced me to take a loan against the Countach to meet obligations, and then after getting absolutely annihilated on the farm renovations (double overbudget) I was not going to be able to pay it off anytime soon. So I had a car that I don’t really fit in, and have barely driven in the past year, and not making any videos about, costing me thousands in interest each month. If I sold it outright, I would have paid a crazy amount of taxes on the gains, so trading it for something that I thought would be great content, and a dream car of mine, made sense. I really hope you all hit the like button if you enjoyed the little car trek reunion in this video, and I’m sorry that I did this, for many reasons.

Im FULLY expecting Tavarish to hunt down a EB110 or something just to screw with both of you. EDIT: also as a 2000's kid, Specifically 2001 who grew up during the rise of the Veyron, yet still loves 80s cars, i think you made a good trade. The Countach was a 80s legend, the Veyron is a 00's legend. The people that find the Countach appealing will die out alot faster, than those who will find the Veyron appealing in 10-15 years or so when they get the money to buy the car of their dreams.
@plektosgaming11 күн бұрын
It is really all about nostalgia. You can now pick up classics form the 40s and 50s for very little as the crowd that knew and worshiped them in the 80s and 90s has all but passed away. I saw an ad for a fully restored and working 67 Buick Riveria that was selling for less than a 1977 Buick station wagon. 20 years ago, that 67 was unobtanium at nearly 60-80K. Now? 16K. No buyers, nobody remembers what it was except for some 80 year olds.

If tax rates go up, you're going to see just how many YT'ers have financed cars bought at the wrong part of the upply/demand cycle. Tyler got lucky since his car has shot up in value. That won't be the case for the majority of YT'ers methinks. Plus, the rather absurd rise on values of older-supercars is going to "market correct" at some point and I think Tyler was wise to cash out now and move on. You're not an idiot. You're getting a great deal if you can somehow run the Bugatti without spending ridiculous amounts of money to keep it running. The Lamborghini Countach's production numbers are way too high for its ridiculously high price tag and for what it is and a car you can barely fit in. The best thing you could do is sell it for a huge profit and buy a very rare and cheap Buggati or something similar. Personally, I would have gone for a manual Murcielago, but with all the hype that's crazy money in the US and that doesn't make much sense either, and you already had one and sold it, which wasn't a mistake just because it wasn't a manual.

....trading away a car that there is a finite number of in the world, for a car that they are (virtually) never going to stop producing. Should have known better. As long as you don't mind selling off the Veyron you should be alright though... You can always get a new Countach... get a better one next time, like an '85 5000qv, with the factory spoiler delete. Anniversary edition Countachs have been in the 400,000 range as long as I can remember, at least a first-year 5000qv, especially with the spoiler delete option, will always appreciate.
