Another big Caddy behind the Impala at 43:30 or so, looks like a 91, 92, one of the last with that body style. Those cars have a bit of a following, my neighbor had a couple of them and sold them both for decent money to people who were far enough away, both went away on auto transport trucks. It might be worth taking a look what those actually sell for; the '89 you showed us needs some paint but I wouldn't be shocked if it fires right up with some gas in it and you end up having to do nothing else to it. Those 307s are dogs but they were reliable. Thanks for showing us the GMC pickup, and that red Corvette, too. I actually like the front, I like when people customize them. In some other news, you're going to s--- when I tell you this, because I almost did when I saw it happen. Today here locally I went to an auction where a guy was cleaning out his garage and selling off stuff he didn't need, including a couple trucks. One was a 1995 GMC extended cab dually, 454, auto, running, driving, 183,000 miles, typical NY rust but not terrible, dirty inside but had the fancy interior with power windows, seats, etc.. The reason you'll s--- is because $450.00 bought it, basically scrap price. It was so cheap I thought about buying it, I mean the engine alone should be worth that even if you scrapped the rest of the truck. I figured it should have brought more like $1000 and would still have room to flip it and make a little money. All I can figure is because it was an odd timed (4:00 pm) weekday auction with maybe 50 bidders, with a lot of the regular tightwads (me included) that go to this auctioneer's sales, kept the price down. Even my first Suburban (89 half ton 2WD) was more than that and that was a dozen years ago. One thing I did find out, the wood overhead console on the roof of yours is a factory piece, this one had the same thing.

I owned a 1980 Mercedes 300SD just like that one 55:15 for several years and the engine and transmission in these care are solid. Sold to a guy down the street, he drove it for 6 years. Now it lives with another owner further down the street and he's selling after converting it to biodiesel and five years of ownership to a kid one block away. I guess the car likes the neighborhood. The air conditioner "brain" is a 1970's vintage Chrysler and must be replaced with a better made, after market unit.

I did have to have the spark plugs changed out to a revisioned version around 100k that changed it from a 3 piece plug to a 1 piece but other then that she has been awesome. Hey Randy are used to have a 71 Cadillac coupe Deville and it was beautiful and I had to 500 in it. I don’t know because I had to oil drain plugs underneath when you drained it that thing was awesome I paid 500 bucks for it. It just needed a carburetor. This was years ago and I sold it after a couple years and made a good profit. I wish I had it keep up the great work.

That old Cadillac brings me back. I had a 1990 and it had the optional fuel-injected small-block 350 5.7lt, That one came with a 307 5.0lt. They ride great! I had one and running 90 down the intestates felt like you were going 55.. lol. I went on a road trip in it and about 10 miles into the state of Georgia I got pulled over by a Georgia HWP, and he said I was running 92mph when I crossed the Georgia line, and I asked him how he knows I was going that fast, and he said, You see that airplane up there? I said yeah, He said it clocked you as soon as you crossed into our state. So he gave me a $285 ticket, He put down I was going 75 in a 65, so he gave me a break. lol. The GHP doesn't play! They love giving people from other states tickets.

the best information you can get on a car is from you're scanner, you can get all the codes at least and make sure it can communicate with all the modules, if it passes that test and it's worth the extra time you can read live data, fuel pressure, transmission pids ect. anything that might be a concern, I would never buy a car now without putting my scanner on it and it has done me good.

Here is a quick way to tell which engine the current-generation Mustangs have. Look at the badge on the taillight panel. A horse badge w/ 3 vertical stripes in the middle is used on the V6, a horse by itself is used on the turbo 4 and the GT badge is, of course used on the V8s (with the exception of the Bullitts and Shelbys). By the way, of all the cars you showed in this video, my favorite one for you to buy is that silver Lexus by far with the V6 Mustang and WRX tied for second. I really think that that Lexus would be a winner and a very quick and easy flip, I hope you pick it up.

Regarding the Nissan Quest minivan, the odometer and speedometer display on the LCD screen at the bottom of the tachometer. I recently did one of these repairs. The LCD screen can be easily replaced, but because none of the other dash lights are displaying, I suspect it is a cold solder failure on a transistor on the instrument panel board. It is an easy fix to reflow the solder.

That MDX slammed into reverse. That, along with the check engine light, is a sure fire sign that the transmission is dead. These, along with Accords, CLs, and TLs all suffer the same inevitable transmission failure. Even if it was in good physical condition, I wouldn't even take one of those for free.
@rexyates10574 жыл бұрын
on cars you're really interested in it might be a good idea to put you're scanner on it to at least get codes and make sure it can communicate with all the modules, also read some live data on the transmission gear commanded,shaft speeds ect. after i got my scanner i used it on every car i ever bought.
