Cool video, I didn't know there was an indoor cart track in Jessup! The narration adds a lot to the video, I haven't seen that done before, nice work!

Thanks! I think Maryland has two total, but if you count the one in Dulles VA, there are 3 within approx an hour or so of the DC-Baltimore area

I bet with COVID its very difficult for them to operate efficiently, I want to try one of their newer locations, as that location had a lot of issues with the karts. I imagine its not easy to keep them all at 100 percent 100 percent of the time, but some of them had serious alignment issues and one had a chain come off mid race
@jonin2x4 жыл бұрын
@@triptheroad Ik COVID really messed up everything, but there was like 30 people in the building and the wait time was like we had 200 lol

Hi! I went at to one in Dulles Virginia (even tho I live in Maryland because it was a bit closer) for my birthday and it was so fun! Ur good at driving go karts Ngl, do u have any tips? Since I’m going again for my cousin’s birthday... he got the fastest time and beating me by 0.005 of a second exactly.
@triptheroad4 жыл бұрын
start slower (not too slow in racing environment of course) and with each lap, increase your speed. As you do this you will find out how fast you can take certain corners. You may find that trying to drive faster will actually hurt your lap times depending on how tight the course is

TripTheRoad ok thanks

TripTheRoad the first of three rounds I’ve started slow and eventually started getting faster but I’ve done research and found out that drifting was bad... I’m going again for my cousins b day in 2 days wish me luck
@triptheroad4 жыл бұрын
@@swagmzlf yeah drifting usually causes you to lose momentum around the turns which translates to longer lap times (momentum gets lost in the friction caused by skidding and acceleration is required to regain that energy). This isn't always necessarily the case in all forms of racing, but with these karts which can only reach about 40 mph or so with their smaller electric motor, drifting usually translates to wasted energy
@TheOne_p2 жыл бұрын

With the brake problems I find that on the tracks (mainly Le Mans) it’s easier to just ease into the turns if possible and brake only if needed.
@triptheroad5 жыл бұрын
yeah the brakes are definitely unpredictable on these karts, you get used to one kart and then get assigned another

That's what I was thinking. I feel like the 35mph karts at Andretti's were faster than this. Maybe the camera makes it look slower, but hard to tell.

Yeah their marketing is pretty misleading, I think the karts can reach that on a large straight but the tracks obviously don't allow for that

@triptheroad4 жыл бұрын
It's fun but the karts were in bad shape, we had one or two break down on us during our visit, but I think they gave us a 4th run for free because of the technical issues. I still had fun either way as there is enough speed that you have to find a line, and it's a lot more physically demanding than it looks on video, you will leave tired and a little sore! I will probably do it again but it is a little too pricey to go every single weekend.

This track is 1 hour and a half from where I live, and I was planing on visiting. But after watching this video it doesn’t look worthy
