Isuzu D Max AT35 Review

Welcome to my review of the Isuzu D-Max AT-35 Arctic Trucks.
This is a bonkers (take no prisoners) truck designed to reach the outer limits where normal rugged SUV's/Trucks can reach.
With its 35 inch tyres and immense ground clearness you'll most likely find the Arctic Truck on the rugged terrain of Iceland and further North!! There are a growing number of Arctic trucks in the UK and having the opportunity to drive and review such a beast was a golden opportunity I was not going to say not to.

This 1.9 equip with 35 is it have same gear ratio or they made slight modification on the gear ratio for that 35?

Its totally perfect if they put the 3.0 L engine of the dmax why put 1.9? On such a big truck like this

I think the same. But if you drive the 1.9 you will understand that is a strong engine. It is always ready to accelerate and you feel the power. But I will always prefer the 3.0 4jj1 !!

i love isuzu but why whhhyyy do we only get the 1.9l...if we got the 3l bullet proof engine the Australians get i'd def get this over a toyota. "lets terrorize rr drivers in this beast". lol 1.9 140bhp vs a 3l 6 cyclinder 300 bhp. Good review though, thanks.

Thank you for your comment. It’s die to emission regulations here in the UK and Europe. Not to mention economy as a lot of owners will want a frugal pick-up for their daily tasks. Hope this helps.

The Aussies get a 3.0 diesel turbo euro 5, with 175 hp and 430 nm of torque. The 1.9 diesel turbo euro 6, puts out 164hp and 360 nm of torque, so not a MASSIVE difference, and both 4 cylinder engines. The brand new Dmax, which comes to dealers late this year, is equipped with the same 1.9 diesel turbo as the outgoing model, but I think it now has Adblue.

oozes masculinity???? my wife just ordered one in orange........she is almost 60 years old.......her present car is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon unlimited, she previously drove a UAZ 469b...she considered a Grendier...delivery too slow, she considered an X Bus. (will it ever be on sale?). she also considered a Ssang Yong Rexton.......good car but too BLAND!.

So......Sorry to barge in on you BEAR.......this is 2022 6 Sept......and Poland.......My wife has just ordered an AT 35, it will have some real off-road tyres....She will be using it as her everyday car....is she a wimp? NO! is she almost 60? yes...did she have a restored Diesel UAZ 469b as her everyday car 4 years ago YES! She needed something a bit more sympathetic..so she went for a Bloody Great JEEP Wrangler ......wait for it.......(sorry I'm an ex drill pig). Rubicon Unlimited, because she wanted DIFF LOCKS......(I drive a Unimog U1300L which she has driven so she knows how good it is to have DIFF LOCKS)......she will be doing a Vlog......not one of these ....very Nice BEAR...but you only had the AT 35 for a day. My wife will tell you how it performs day to day for.....well for however long she keeps it...(she kept the Rubicon for 4 years - I will get the Rubicon and my Jeep Sport will be kept as a spare....(What about the Unimog?) we will still be driving that when we want to show off). Look out for her vlog. (Ps back in UK we were Landrover Series people, but did diversify into a Renault Kangoo Trekka which surprised us in being a very good off-roader....Renault you w*nkers...it was better than the mediocre Dacia Duster...what were you thinking.

@@AutoBears I'll give you an update on what just happened.......Artic Trucks Poland sent us a pallet of the bits they took off and they didn't charge for them or transport.....4 new alloys and tyres, 2 sets leaf springs, 2 coils and 4 shocks.....of and the original side steps....you could hit the new ones with a tank and the tank would come off worst. Bet in UK they just keep the stuff and sell it on??? make me a liar and I will apologise.
