@@Jammet from what I know is that the kernel swap is required. How would the dev team over at autobleem ever implement otg. Unless they find a way to access the original kernel with administrator privileges.

@Broken Sprites they will work fine. Just make sure it has mini USB for your power connector and for your nes. Look for them on Amazon or aliexpress or Google them. I got mine from aliexpress L&R angled for 1€ or so. They are exactly the same as the ones you can buy locally but cheaper.

@Broken Sprites you can also verify your otg with a phone that has micro usb. Especially if the phone has Android. If it works on your phone it will work on your nes.

Once modded, love my PS Classic. I got it for Xmas from a friend who apparently found it dirt cheap at a Black Friday sale, and thought of me. It looks amazing next to my NES/SNES Classic consoles. I have a dedicated shelf for all the classic consoles, and I'm thinking of broadening my collection with a SEGA Genesis Classic as well, and possibly N64 Classic too if Nintendo decides to give it a run.

Just a quick note, in case someone would rather use the angled OTG adapter, be sure to get a RIGHT angled adapter. The Playstation's power port is upside down, so a left angled one will point it towards the HDMI cable.

I was fortunate. Back when I was getting an OTG adapter for my SNES classic, I got two adapters. One right angle and one left angle. So I ended up with one extra that fit my PS classic.

@@NaestyNaes As for roms, you can either choose to place them on your thumbdrive with autobleem beforehand or add them after testing whether autobleem loads up. There is a designated 'Games' folder where you drag and drop your roms into this folder. Take note that your roms have to be in bin and cue format.

I did it with my OTG angle and my USB pen 256gb Sandisk 3.1, it’s works perfectly and it’s faster to boot, easy to change theme and option to boot. Now, I can use my 2nd controller on 2nd port. I don’t need usb hub. It’s more convenient 👍

Yes, In the video he says it doesn't matter if you are going to use Bleemsync or Autobleem, the process to install the OTG support is the same regardless.The only thing he is doing is Installing the OTG support which happens to be in the Bleemsync package, After that is installed you can use either Autobleem or Bleemsync, Your choice.

I really prefer the Evolution UI to the Sony carousel. With the carousel you are limited to how many games you can add before things really start to slow down. You don’t have this limitation with AutoBleem. Also AutoBleem’s developer has made many improvements to the Sony provided emulator that increases performance and stability. It is very customizable with cool themes and settings such as high res, graphics filter and speed boost available for each game right in the ui.

I have the same adapter which too works well for phones that don't have OTG but you want to use gamepads or USB drives with. Haven't yet seen use for it on my S/NES Classic consoles but it certainly is a life saver on the PSC.

I started with AutoBleem but no reason to anymore. BleemSync is dead simple to use. Just drag n drop your games, cover art pack, and you're done! really simple. No more messing with subpar AutoBleem packs, with compression slowdowns, or missing critical games. RetroArch is also included, so you can easily drag over your other romsets. Doesn't get much better than this :)

Okay so I put in the first flash drive with bleemsync. Then I took the back up files and copied them onto my laptop but I kept them on the drive. I then put the kernel in update folder. I then plugged that in. The system did the update and then went to the retro boot and blemmsync title screen. I then turned off and unplugged the console. After that I took my otg like you have and a flash drive with autobleem 0.5.1 ntscu with all my games I wanted and plugged it all in and then turned on the console. It took a minute and then loaded it normally. I dont know what I missed or needed to do

At 4:25 min appear a black screen. After about 5-7 second the console remind me at the original home menu of PlayStation classic. I’m using a SanDisk Cruzer 16GB 3.0

OTG is great. Finally we got rid of the ugly usb hubs. 😋 I'm using the angled otg with low profile hcsd card reader. Works excellent. Advantage it has is no cable breaks.

You are prabobly using old stick. Buy new USB 2.0 32GB they are cheap and it solved all of my problems.

I just bought a PS Classic yesterday for € 19,99 and got a 4gb drive that works without having to powermod. Got Autobleem 0.71 with Retroarch running and a few games. If this solution works for like a bigger USB 3.1 drive (64gb) without powermodding then that's great!

I also had problems. 90% of those problems is USB sticks fault. Mine was working just fine but PSXC couldnt load LBOOT file correctly. I bought new USB stick 32gb Cruze 2.0 and problems were gone.

this some usb works and some dont is because of a power limitation sony put on the usb port. look up the ps classic power mod and it should fix your problem.

You can also powermod the USB drives of this device to make any USB drive work. Easy to do, but not needed if you have a USB drive that requires less power to work. I used an 4GB usb 2.0 drive to add the OTG support, and then a 128GB drive for Autobleem connected to the OTG adapter.

followed the instruction and mine showing red flashing light when going through the lboot file HELP stuck in recovery mode at the moment. Turn the PSC on and while the LED is flashing red press and hold the Power and Open buttons for 5 seconds to get it out of this. THIS worked but auto bleem launches then restarts and shows red light blinking again lol

Yea i think i bricked my console. I was doing the update plugged it in to Player 2 and plugged power, Left it for a second and on the screen it said it failed. then it reset back into PSclassic UI. It then said the controller is not recognized so i unplugged the USB and now nothing turns it back on.

Would really love it if you could throw some knowlege my way MLP. I've gone throught the instructions 3 times, formated correctly.. evevrn used the exact 128gb samsung drive you reccommended.. After formating the usb exactly how you do in the program and throwing the two files on.. I go step by step unplugging the power placing the drive in, waiting for the orange light ect.. then bam, each and every time it just loads the regular screen.. what am I doing wrong? @@Madlittlepixel I had 2 classics and 2 of the samsung drives I ran into the same issue with one of the samsung drives not recognizing on the classics, I ran multiple test. The one samsung drive worked great on both ps classics no problem. But the other drive wasn't working on either ps classic. I'm trying to figure it out I just bought a 3rd drive.

I figured it out. Step 1: Download EaseUS Partition Master. Step 2: Open Partition Master and locate your USB Drive Disk. Step 3: Right click and wipe data. We want to start fresh this might take awhile. Step 4: After you wipe the drive right click again over top of where it says the Disk number for your drive and convert it to GPT. Step 5: Repeat step 4 but instead convert it back to MBR. Step 6: Format to Fat32 and rename the Drive SONY. Make sure to hit the start operation after you select things to format and wipe to start the processes.

Just double checked and yeah it loads up the PS Classic like normal, as in the stock games etc. But you still will have the Bleemsync payload on your system, its just not seen. You can uninstall Bleemsync if needed, but yeah havent ran into any issues powering up without a drive.

Looks like it to me. He did the full BleemSync hack as a workaround, just to get the OTG support, then simply booted using AutoBleem. Not worth it in my opinion. But then again, I'm not planning on doing much multiplayer gaming on mine.
