Hi Andrew, I am having an issue with the direction of North in Autocad 2018. We obviously want North to be up the page, which I can correctly set in my previous version of Autocad (2016). Even though I change the unit settings in 2018, when drawing a line it won't draw a bearing greater than 180deg from North up the screen. i.e. If less than 180deg it draws the line clockwise and if greater than 180deg it will draw the line from counter-clockwise direction. I am stumped. Thanks, Michael

Do you have a tie line before plotting the lot bearing?

Everything worked perfect for me except the last unit. I have a title plan and I have worked around the boundaries but the last one line goes in the opposite direction. Is there something else I need to be doing or for the last measurement do I just need to put the inverse of the angle in?Cheers!

+Jaime Sherlock without seeing the angles its hard to say. Sometimes you can draw lines at the angle and just mirror them later if that is an issue. I hope you can resolve it. Good luck

when I draw the angle go in completely different directions than the old plot.

Try typinf UNITS at eh command prompt, then either tick or untick the Clockwise Check Box and see if that fixes your problem

YOU DONT NEED TO PUT CLOCKWISE IN UNITS

+neverfall16 if you want the co-ordinates to work out correctly then you need to. Not changing the clockwise setting will still allow lines to be created but the lines won't go in the direction you want.
