Oh I wish something like this list was available when I started out. I would have been able to concentrate on what I needed off the bat. A very informative and comprehensive list.

Interior cleaning is essential for my peace of mind. Every Wednesday my wife, as assisting headmaster on a highschool, is part of a carpool, driving the pupils to play padel. Oh dear! Well well, then I have to repeat my cleaning rituals. Week after week though the schoolyear.

For glass cleaner I love to use Wurth Active Glass Cleaner. Really great stuff, leaves no streaks, foaming, cost effective and I use it on all glass, 3 cars a day and one can at £11 can last me months as you only need one spray per window ( maybe 2 on larger ) to clean and cover it. Would love for you to try it out and let me know what you think and I'm more than happy to send you some over for a review!

What a great video, so useful and to the point. Very informative for the serious DIY detailer. KZbin is full of information on how to clean and properly polish a vehicle but the interior is often neglected. I would like to have seen more information/images of the recommended products, but otherwise faultless.

Another great Video, I personally like Koch Chemie pol star as an interior cleaner it’s a versatile product and has good cleaning power without being too harsh also like Gyeon interior detailer. For Glass cleaning my favourite product by far is Bilt Hamber Traceless Glass cleaner it’s a phenomenal product, I even use it on household glass.

Great video Heather. The shots cutting to showing you using the products were really good editing and brought the video alive. Might have to take a look at the Vax. Wanted something like that for ages as have cloth seats in my Mini!

You can’t beat a good all purpose cleaner and some microfibre cloths. A nice video Heather of the basics to get into the hobby of car cleaning without busting the budget , very thoughtful by offering alternatives. I want something for cleaning a 2.5 year old leather VW Golf steering wheel as it is starting to go shiny. Currently using AG leather cleaner. Can you recommend; maybe a little video?
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
Thanks for watching :) I'd use either a leather brush or scrub pad but just be pretty gentle to avoid wearing the coating down, paired with a good leather cleaner it should definitely get rid of that shine. I'll try and find a shiny steering wheel for a video!

I love my Screwfix vacuum. I think I'm paid 30quid for it and it's possibly the most powerful device I have ever bought. The bonus with it, with no smut intended, is that it blows as well as sucks which is awesome blasting out hard to reach places like under seats and air vents.,useful for drying to

Love the pet hair brush tip. Could you do some advice on Alcantara interiors please?
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
Thanks for watching :) I just use interior cleaner (usually the GT one) on alcantara with a microfibre cloth but if it needs some extra attention then I use the scrub pad fairly gently to fluff the fibres back up a bit
@simonbradshaw3708Ай бұрын
I try and keep my interior cars fairly clean, so use Gyeon Interior Detailer and their soft wipe cloth which is edgeless. I have a piano black interior in one of my cars. For glass cleaning I use a waffle weave towel and Gyeon Glass and Prep. I used jute shopping bags and the fibre get stuck in the boot carpet, so any advice on a suitable product to remove would be great. Vacuum is a slow process as they weave into the other fibres.
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
Thanks for watching, Gyeon Interior Detailer is a really good product. Have you tried one of those pet hair removal tools? I'd imagine it would work fairly similarly on those fibres

Thanks Heather. Any tips on how to deal with mild scratches on dashboard vinyl. A previous owner has either thrown a bag or a dog lead or such on the dash and left a few scratches. Just don't know how to get rid of them.
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
Thanks for watching :) You could definitely try hand polishing them, a machine would be helpful but not essential to try and get some improvement. Try a mild polish first on a foam pad and be fairly gentle and it should take them down a bit
@Neil1867-d6fАй бұрын
another great video thanks Heather. This questions a bit off topic but I’m having some new alloy wheels fitted this week and just wondered if you can recommend a product I can use to protect them from brake dust and general dirt and make them easier to keep clean? Thanks in advance
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! The best thing you can do is ceramic coat them. I used Garage Therapy Hades on mine. It’s the best time to do it if they’re new as they won’t need any decon/ polishing, just a wipe with the panel wipe solution to remove any oils. Ideally if you do it before they’re fitted then you can do the barrels as well, but if not then just doing the faces when they’re on the car will still definitely be worth doing
@Neil1867-d6fАй бұрын
@@AutoCareHQ Thanks Heather, I'll grab some of that to use then. The wheels are being fitted by someone else as I'm having some styling work done at the same time so I won't be able to get to the barrels, but I'll do as much as i can reach. thanks again

@@AutoCareHQ That's great, thanks for that. Just looking on in2detailing website would you go 30ml or 50ml kit - new wheels are 20". Also have you got an affiliate link for the product, would rather you get some commission if possible?
@AutoCareHQАй бұрын
No problem :) I think 30ml should be fine, I only used about half I think on mine and they were a pretty tricky design. If you use the discount code "ACHQ" then it should trigger the affiliate commission but no pressure at all!
