Happy New Year. A very tidy finish for the 1st video of the year. I am not a fan of white cars for waxing but I do like to detail them with a spray sealant as they do come up really well. Two of my neighbours cars that I look after are white so I get plenty practice. It's good to see somebody using DIY detail products and it looked like they did a good job. I like to see people taking the effort to dress plastic wheel arches which I think just enhances the dressing of the wheels and tyres. I look forward to watching your content this year.

@AutoCareHQ2 күн бұрын
Thanks! Yeah the interiors are nice especially for the price
Another fantastic video Heather may i suggest that you carry out a 2nd snow foam and also then use say the CarPro reset shampoo whilst the foam is on the car and use separate microfiber mitts for each section of the vehicle rather than the 2 bucket method as this even more reduces the risk of introducing scratches and swirls into the paintwork and its much quick per job of-course it means washing more microfiber mitts at the end of the day
@AutoCareHQ3 күн бұрын
Thanks very much Nick 😊 I do really like that method, I don’t tend to use it as much when I’m filming though as the foam normally falls off the car when I’m moving the camera around so it’s a bit faffy 😂

It would be interesting to see how you washed my car and what products you use over my usual mix, however I know I'd feel guilty leaving you to wash it lol so I'd probably end up trying to do it myself even though your paid. I like the number plate removal and door handle cleaning. Also... I think you mentioned in one of your videos about using a deionization pod to remove contaminates from water to prevent water marks, I have used DI resin pods and revived them with brine backwashs, also I have purchased 25L DI and RO water. However I now use a 1000L rain water tank with filters and a 4Bar auto pump, it cheaper, saves on the water bill and no water spots YAY.

Good morning Heather, another great finish to a white paint work 👏The turbo nozzle approved to make light work of the wheel arches 👍. Heather, would you very kindly suggest an acidic gel alloy wheel cleaner, please? My daughters 66 plate Golf, 5 arm alloys are a bit of a mess! Certainly, behind the wheel face. The caked on brake dust definitely needs shifting ! Thank you!

Thanks Graham :) I've only used KKD Devil's Juice which isn't a gel but is a very strong acid. I'm not a huge fan of using it though because it requires a lot of PPE. Infinity Wax Incinerate is a strong alkali but not quite as potent as KKD's. I usually go for Incinerate first though and see if that works

Happy New Year! Nice work on that MG. I have seen some people use a wash mitt after using a fallout remover to agitate the chemical. In theory this should be safe as the iron particles will have reacted with the chemical. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on that method?

What sort of detailer is good to use outdoors in winter when it’s just above freezing? Everything I use seems to streak when it’s between 33-39 degrees. Any tips?
@AutoCareHQ2 күн бұрын
Honestly they all tend to go like that when it’s close to freezing especially if the humidity is high. It’s potentially worth trying a rinseless wash diluted instead as a QD
@kimnewling57283 күн бұрын
Cool. Are the detailing brushes sturdy enough to clean the black trim? I tried that and ended up scrubbing more with a small brush. Ruined brush. Yes, i agree. Reset is not that sudsy. Good soap, but not much for suds. Thanks Heather

Nope it’s loud haha. I just have a 20 meter hose so I can get it far away from the camera so you don’t hear the annoying motor sound and just hear the water/ foam

Why do you need to use the sprayer AND the snow foam for prewash? Isn’t one of them enough?
@AutoCareHQ3 күн бұрын
It depends on the car really. I like using a citrus/ APC on the dirtier areas but it’s overkill on the roof etc. The snow foam also helps extend the dwell time on the citrus underneath so it doesn’t dry out as fast
@terenceappleby94222 күн бұрын
What pressure do you set your Kranzle to Heather?
@AutoCareHQ2 күн бұрын
I keep it set to 120 bar
@Los7142 күн бұрын
Is a rinse less wash better then a pre foam wash?
@AutoCareHQ2 күн бұрын
I would always go for a pre-wash to get the bulk of the dirt off before making contact
@Los7142 күн бұрын
@ I’m new to all this. Is rinse less wash the same as a prewash? Should I use a soap with a little higher ph balance?
@AutoCareHQ2 күн бұрын
A rinseless wash is a bit different. With a rinseless wash you can pre-wash beforehand which I’d recommend to remove as much dirt as possible before actually touching the paint with a mitt/ sponge to reduce the risk of micro scratches. Then after the pre-wash you can either do a rinseless wash method, or use a car shampoo like I’m doing here

@@AutoCareHQthanks a lot. Why is the trigger gun so expensive when you can get the same thing from infinity wax for £40 lol
